Love the Q&As. Will have to submit one regarding my own personal theory as to what BFs are.

Couldn’t they X-ray the cast to see if there’s a ruler inside ?

Absolutely a non educational comment. But, I would imagine anything , would just not draw them in, especially if they know that there is people around. Even though they may get close to us, they historically want to avoid us. Behavior, getting shot at, just general elusiveness. There is no pattern besides this.

Love the show but the part of the foot being soft padded for such a massive animal not making big impressions doesn't make sense

“Another question concerns the depth of the prints themselves. If body weight is supported by such a sole pad, the large surface area of the sole would spread the weight over a relatively wide area, so that only faint tracks would be left on hard ground. […] The large, thick sole pad allows the animal to traverse extremely rough terrain and move silently, but the sole pad also spreads the great body weight so efficiently that individual tracks, although they cover a large area, are fainter than one might assume from the known body weight.” Susan Cachel, Anthropologist - www.bigfootencounters.com/biology/cachel.htm
