If your surgeon only watched videos on how to perform successful surgeries but never did any hands-on exercises, how comfortable would you be to undergo a lengthy procedure? The same concept applies to our care partners. If they're not equipped with a certain level of practical, hands-on skills when working with people living with dementia, the end result is not going to be a good for either party involved. This week, Teepa discusses what has to change in order for people to actually want to work in dementia care. Teepa alone can change a person's day, but it takes a team to change lives.
