#cycling #roadbike #bike In this episode, I compare the 3 pairs of cargo bib shorts I have been riding. One clear winner, and one terrible disappointment. instagram: @diabeticcycling email: admin@diabeticcycling.com

I'm a type 2 diabetic cyclist looking far and wide for ways to cycle and your channel is a breath of fresh air from most KZbin channels. I just subscribed and am starting to watch between rides. Thank you and keep up the good work. 😃

Yuva here from RedWhite Apparel. Thank you for mentioning my cargo bib shorts. It's a pity they were sold out when you wanted them. I've rolled out updated versions (new gripper, new logo). Dropped you an email about them. Happy to send you a pair for a your videos.

Excellent presentation, thanks. I have a pair of Pactimo cargo bibs I'm not sure of the model, but I have not had some of the issues reported by other reviews. My phone is a Pixel 7pro and my wallet from Alchemy Goods, which recycles bicycle tube material, is usually in the pockets. Neither extend above the top of the pockets and I have not noticed them slipping back to interfere with pedaling. Like you, I am suspicious of the straps as they have no edge binding, and am wondering how long they will last before beginning to fray. The chamois area is well-padded; they are my favorite bibs. So, like I said probably a different year of manufacture and/or different model. Time and miles will tell. I do have a carbon fiber go-fast road bike which hangs back in the corner and comes out in the winter season on the trainer, but I fancy myself as an MTB/gravel/ultra-long distance endurance rider. At least that is what I tell myself. 😛

Honest question: Judging from this test. would you consider rear pockets suitable for carrying an insulin pump? Maybe with an added slit to put the iv line through?

Absolutely!

Great reviews!!! I have tried Rapha Cargo Shorts, but the chamois matarial was just cheap sponge, but didn't try the more expensive Rapha bib. I have Pearl Izumi Expedition Pro Bib Shorts($265) and non pro ones($125) The pro ones rock! Ofcourse I got them on sales. The chamois is comfortable for long enough rides, regular non pro ones is comfortable enough, but not good as pro bibs. Pro bibs fit tighter than regular bibs, being same large size. 190~195lbs size 34 levis jean About 1/4 inch size smaller....tighter?? I have tried large RedWhite bib and returned it for position of chamois being ,too forward. I believe chamois was comfortable. Important factor for purchasing "gravel" bib for me is 1. Fit- does it look good on me 2. Chamois for long endurance rides or short rides 3. Price 4. Crash policy. I got into an accident and look in to the crash policy of bike clothing. 5. Pockets... Redwhite and Assos bids both have crash policy for their bike cloths. That is awsome. My next bib short is Assos, their chamois is out of the world. They never go in sale...

Question. Does your Jersey cover the back pockets and help keep the items in the pockets?
@DiabeticCycling2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark! Excellent question. A well fitting jersey definitely aids in holding things together. A loose fitting jersey like I see some folks wear, adventure tech t-shirts on gravel rides, etc., not as much.

Outstanding reviews on these 3 bib shorts. I live in Bentonville which is home office for Rapha so I get to try all the new stuff when it's released and I've used the Core cargo and I agree they're functional and do exactly the job you described which is to allow you to carry cargo when you may not want a traditional cycling Jersey. I also ride Gravel and sometimes I want to wear a loose fitting technical top so the Cargo is the way to go for your items. I've also used champsys but didn't care for the side pockets on those.

Hi there. Thanks for the question. I do not own any PNS bibs at the moment. That said, I have another episode with 4 other cargo bibs coming out soon.

Rapha cargo bibs are my favorite. I prefer the pro team cargo bibs, I wish they would produce a 3/4 cargo bib shorts and a gilet with a hood and chest pocket.

Stay tuned for round 2. I have an episode coming out with 3 other brands. I think you might like. :)

전 카고 입기 시작한 후로 다른건 잘 안 입게 되더라고요. ㅎㅎ 전화기도 그렇고 손수건도 그렇고.. 간단히 먹을 스낵까지... 너무 편해요!
Love this review. I believe the Black Bibs are absolute garbage, with the chamois being too thin and cardboard like. I own the Cadence cargo bib shorts; best bibs I own, but the cargo pockets are kinda too tight? So I don't put food in them but do put gloves or other stuff I don't need to access while actively riding. I would suggest you try those as well as the RedWhite shorts and maybe the LaPassione version? You rock bro.
