You inspire me to read the Scriptures, to find gems in them. It is hard to find quiet time with 4 crazy kids but I always look forward to your Come Follow Me. I read first and then go to see what other ideas I might get from you two. And then I go back and reread some stuff. Thank you so much for pushing us to actually feast on the Word of God!

Thanks for both of you for sharing your knowledge and love for scriptures. I appreciate your understanding that all humans, including leaders, can make mistakes. It is unrealistic to expect that, as members guided by the Holy Ghost, we will be free from mistakes. What should be done when leaders fail to recognize this and they think that always they are right?

Christ alone can change hearts. He can change a leaders heart, He can change our hearts . Approach your leader with a humble heart-after sincere prayer and share your concerns remembering as you do the counsel from the Lord in D&C 121:41-46. Hope this may help ! ❤

@@mikeporter6952 Thank you for your response. I have tried to address this issue using your suggested methods, but I have encountered negative results. Your message resonates with me and brings some relief amidst this disappointment. Despite my attempts to use scripture to address the situation, I have not seen positive outcomes. Instead, I have felt negatively judged for daring to speak up. I truly appreciate your words. I agree that we can’t change anyone, but God can. God bless you Mike!

I had an idea yesterday about Moroni's lack of ore. We're taught that approximately 2/3 of the plates were sealed. From hints in the text it seems like the sealed portion is probably the revelation given to the brother of Jared, perhaps with Moroni's commentary. So, more plates than what Mormon had altogether to make his record. So where did the ore come from? Of course Moroni lived for perhaps another 20 years, he may of found new ore. But let's not forget he had another source. Mormon records he could not write 100th part of the records he had. I think it's safe to assume Moroni knew where these other records were, records that were probably recorded on plates of ore. I imagine if 99% of those records were rejected by Mormon, that some of them probably were of little worth to future generations, and as such, were perhaps scavenged or recycled - maybe I should say upcycled - to become the more important record of the brother of Jared's prophecy. Just a thought.
