Very cool stuff Aaron. I am thinking that a cordless circular saw and nail gun could be in my birthday wish list. Btw you handle those tools very well.
@Aaron.deRuiter3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Col. A circular saw can be so useful especially for projects like this when the timber is a softwood and small cross section. I wouldn’t be using it on any large hardwoods!

@@Aaron.deRuiter I have a larger 240v Bosch for that sort of job. Even so, the green models may not be the most powerful. Doesn’t lockdown create time. When I was your age those rugrats and the call of the waves took a lot of it.

Coming along nicely. Will you tape the joint at the base of the dagger board trunk to add lateral strength as well?
@Aaron.deRuiter3 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, no I didn’t end up fibreglassing the sides of trunk. Fingers crossed the epoxy bonds on the top and bottom and against the bulkhead will be enough to keep it position.

Prime simple sail and rigging. I bought the 3.4sqm supernova sail from Star Kayak Sails for $575 AUD. The sail kit comes complete with furling system, aluminium 3 section mast, 3 blocks and all furling and sheet lines. Pretty good deal I’d say!
