Being a EMT-b looking to go to the AF & become a PJ, found out about it 2 days ago and have been training like others lives depend on it. My only thing is I cant swim but im not going to let that stop me from being a PJ, im willing to learn to swim & constantly break those mental barriers

Sounds like a good program , my only concern would be keeping in check, any kind of weird bias amongst people .
@OnesReady
@OnesReady 4 жыл бұрын
We try to mitigate any bias with testing data, psych tests, and a panel of folks making the decisions rather than 1-3 people. We understand your concern though.

I have some questions I herd as of last week TACP now has to perform the 500m and 2x25m underwater. What are your gentleman’s thoughts., and why this change? I’m about to head back once I’m home from deployment. Thankfully Sgt Seegmiller gave me tips 5 years ago but no way am I prepared for that much swimming nor a chance to prep being deployed.

Is there a height requirement? And any advice on how to tell my parents that I want to go into special recon?
@miguelrodriguez-pl5ru
@miguelrodriguez-pl5ru 3 жыл бұрын
Just tell them what you want to do and educate them on the job your going to try and get. I’m looking at your pfp and I’m assuming you’re women. Hell yeah. I would love to see a women get into special operations and there have been so don’t feel discouraged. The pipeline is hard and you have to compete with the rest of the men as they do with each other so definitely train and got on your A game before joining. You got this.
@WamaziTech
@WamaziTech Жыл бұрын
There is no height requirement, there is no gender-bias, nothing like that only thing is that your able to compete along the other guys and are both mentally and physically prepared.
