Definitely agree with the white hot black hot debate, I run black hot 90% of the time then once eye fatigue sets in i switch to white hot. White hot has helped me identify heat source on a wood line many times. Kopfjager 800 was my first tripod years ago, a lot of great options out there now for sure. I prefer a scope style scope on bolt guns, had the chance to look through the RH50R iray on bolt gun and they definitely have great eye relief with longer eyepiece and that ocular lens is 🔥.

Yes sir! All great comments and we agree the RH50R does good on a lot of bolt guns. We had a couple customers who couldn’t make it work on theirs but plenty have. Thanks for the comments and watching.

Ay niighttime, i think white hot is easier on the eye and you can pull away without seeing dots.

Another thing to consider about daytime hunting with thermal is mindful of battery consumption if hunting same night

Great video. When it comes to colors, my eyes pick up green much better than most other colors. I use green reticles, greed dot optics and green lasers. Because of that, I don't use green backgrounds or green hot in my thermals. My eyes are able to pick out the most details in black hot. Its become muscle memory for me. Having said all that, I have tried different colored reticles and backgrounds whenever I pick up a new IR or thermal optic. Like I said, muscle memory. I tend to go with black hot and green reticle. Maybe Im ruined for life.

White or black hot,I think it depends on the brand of thermal scope you shoot. The brightness and contrast make a difference too depending on day or night and weather conditions. Nothing better than a thermal scanner to find a dead animal you’ve just shot in heavy cover.

I mostly use white hot also to my eye it brings out more detail than black hot atleast on my Adder anyways.

Hello, I enjoy your channel. I wanted to know if you guys have some sort of store front, or able to walk in and chat with y'all directly? I think I am about 25 miles from y'all. I am an old guy in my 70's, so I am pretty old fashion, and like doing business the old ways. Thanks
