Hi Sgt.LaFrance! So glad you found this video and thanks again for the rescue! You guys really bailed us out of a stressful situation. We had a conversation about your lab and your wife saying no more dogs. Not sure you've seen any other videos, but we lost our dog a few weeks later and all I could think about was our conversation. We got another dog and it has helped us cope, but we miss Ponce every day. Hope you are doing well. Come see us down in Shell Beach if you ever make it over that way for anything.

Once I did the Mississippi I couldn't stop either. I paddled it to Key West and sailed it up the Atlantic coast and to Lake Huron. I'm shopping for a houseboat now, and looking for places to s anchor on the river in the places I was able to pull my canoe ashore. I'm thinking about getting a smaller one after seeing your problems.

Same here. We've added the Great Loop to our list. Make sure to watch all the videos. The 2 videos you commented on were the mishaps of the trip. Otherwise an incredible trip and the houseboat did great.

@@ImonVacation I'm sorry to only comment on your mishaps, but those are the ones I learned the most from. I never considered the cost of a tow boat before I watched your videos. You're going to love doing the loop! Christmas Tree Island off the coast of Key West is my favorite place on it. Beginning in the spring, sailors and people from all over the world meet there. No cars, houses, telephone lines, or pavement. Just a community of artists, musicians, and beautiful people dancing in the sunsets around bon fires. They go to Key West to make money on the pier at sunset as entertainers. They go to sell their creations on the street. They buy their food and some of them hitch rides on boats back to Christmas Tree Island, where they share food and music, and stories about far away places they've discovered. I never heard of anyone fighting on Christmas Tree Island~

For $10k. But of course they couldn't leave their boat. And after the event, they didn't have any interest in going back to that area. LOL!
