Dope set of tutorials man! I'm just refreshing myself with these, but you actually are able to sample from both channels by pressing A and B together at the same tim!

Hey when you sample to left or right do you only hear the left and right side on your headset? Then once u finish sampling it comes out mono on both ears?

You're the man for posting this! All the basics were passed down to me by someone back in the day, but not everbody is that lucky. I have a feeling I'll be back to refresh my memory and probably learn some new stuff too lol 👍

Digga Dirt hey thanks! The idea is to teach the basics so people can approach the more advanced aspects with their own style.

You'd definitely use input with effects to compress something very dynamic in volume range that's all over the place in volume that you want to be closer to a set volume, a bit like how you use the compressor on a high end mixing desk. This is even more important with samplers because lower volume = a lower quality sampler (which you may or may not desire).

That’s a tough one. Sounds like it needs the doctor. If it’s intermittent sound it sounds like there is Hope. Maybe a cracked joint. If it took a bad fall, you’re lucky it’s working at all. Could be multiple issues. Good luck.

Are you going into the mixer always 1st before sampling and is this the norm for most users? Or is it possible to sample direct?

I do go through my mixer which is a battle style DJ mixer of reasonable quality. I would imagine 99% of people do the same. Of course you can get as fancy and Hifi as you want to with your signal chain with hi end phono amps, needles, cartridges, etc. However you want to approach it is fair game. I personally don’t really care that much about my signal chain as long as I have a decent amount of clean gain. Other than that it’s something I don’t pay much mind to. Maybe one day I’ll get fancy. Also most of my records are garbage so it doesn’t really matter😬

what do i do if I dont get a yellow light when selecting my AB audio tracks? Its like my ASR has to warm up before it will release a signal to my mixer. The meters jump on the ASR but there is either no sound or muffled sound or very glitchy sound...does anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed with my newly acquired used AF ASR (besides dropping this thing from 3 stories). Thanks.

Hi, my ASR 10 used to sample 31 Seconds but now it only samples 21 seconds max. Do you know WhatsApp up with that? Thanks

I only got the OS tutorial disk can i use it and Sample and everything
@bandeco75
@bandeco75 5 жыл бұрын
Yes. Just don’t erase your disk without re-saving the os. Copy OS is in the command systems page. DO NOT turn off your machine if you don’t have a saved copy of the OS. you would have to get a copy of an OS from elsewhere at that point. Hope that helps. Enjoy the ASR and always push your creativity.

When I try to fromat it says disk write protected what does that mean
@bandeco75
@bandeco75 4 жыл бұрын
drayton parchem aha! There is a little Doo hicky switch on the disk. Just move it over and your good. If you look at it in your hand facing the front it’s on the left hand bottom corner. Turn it around and flip it up. Easy.
