At 1:32 you just putting a direct wire i.e without any load between the positive and negative terminal. I think it would create a short rather the wire would be burn if the wire gauge is low otherwise it would short the battery 🔋...

Yes you are right. and I have mentioned it might burn wire with high voltage battery so be careful while handling the hot wire.

Yes, potential difference will exist in both the cases. In first, - Potential difference will be same as the supplied voltage ( because led will act like a open circuit ) In second, - Potential difference will exist but there is some loss in heat between the terminals due to change in resistance.

If the LED is completely broken and does not conduct electricity at all, then attaching it to the battery will not affect the voltage reading on the voltmeter. The voltmeter will simply show the voltage of the battery.
