Nice to see another sailer with a big Irwin. I have an 1987 but my layout is a little different. Master cabin is almost the same and other staterooms are in different areas. Your boat look nice.

I went down the coast from Channel Islands on my friends 70 foot sportfiisher and saw and met the previous owner, you guys have done a tremendous job rebuilding her. I've also beach camped my way down on my 4x4. Your lives are so similar, I have 5 acres two homes, shop near Placerville, my sailboat is in Channel Islands harbour. I so relate to your channel.

I have never seen a transducer that has a little wheel on it. All the other boats I am subscribed to including SV Delos has one that has everything inside .

The wheel is for boat speed - This particular transducer is a 3 in 1 (boat speed, water temp and depth)

Hi Guys. You mention that the only way You had to charge Your Batteries was to run Your Generator. Does You Engine not have a couple of Alternators.? David. Down Under.

Hello David! Great question, but sadly the engine does not. We've asked a couple mechanic/electricians if they could resolve this - nope! Not yet anyway. Hopefully when we haul her out we can finally remedy this issue.

I was doing mine every 3-4 months and all 8 of them were still in good condition after 4 1/2 years. Also I am in Sea of Cortez where you are so same climate conditions.
