Very nice video. Could easily be used for any boat. The inside of the cabin is amazingly bright. I didn’t expect that. The ports let in so much light. The contrast with the teak is nicely done.

Hello John, Good job to you and your team for the job done on your boat. It seems very well finish! Im curious about the your backstay setup that you chose. Im considering updating the system on my contessa .. Is it possible to have a few shots / small video explaining your system eventually ? Thanks, R.

That’s a good question and a good idea. Give me a Little while to sort this one out.

Good stuff. Do you have jack lines? You could also demonstrate clipping in to a jack line and move about the deck while tethered to the boat.

I second the suggestion

Yes we do have jackstays rigged The entire length of the boat on both sides. I agree it would’ve been a good idea to include it in this video but (perhaps mistakenly) cut that section at the last moment with the idea that I might do a separate video about moving around the boat in heavy weather.

Great idea doing the safety brief by video. Just a couple of comments: if you had a fire down below, do you have a fire extinguisher in the cockpit, as you may not be able to reach those down below? Also, when going through life jackets, I always take one so people can see where the whistle and mouth tube are - and spray hood if fitted. It also give opportunity to verify the the life jacket is serviceable - ie has not been fired. Thanks for the great video

Thanks for the really positive comment on this. You are right and there are a couple of additional fire extinguishers but they are not immediately accessible. One of them is in the cockpit locker but he’s well wrapped up to protect it.

Another very enjoyable and informative video. And Elizabeth is absolutely tight: on a boat, the marine toilet should ALWAYS be used in the sitting position, irrespective of sex/gender and no matter which "job" is being performed.

This rule is fully mandatory enforced by my wife at home and we're far from the sea ! Any visitor who don't comply should call for rescue on channel 16 😂
