Ones with flags are usually part of a string of pots. They call them hawks.

I mostly sail, but I certainly enjoyed your video. I appreciate the editing quality. Drone shots, use of Google Earth, navigation graphics, frame speed for slow and fast motion and choice of music. I even took advantage of your suggestive "Like, Subscrips & Comment" intermission note.

Used to do a lot of fishing off Tolchester Beach and Pooles Is years ago on my dad's boat. He had a 32' custom that was built in 1947/48. I fished out there as well, just not as much on my 1985 26' Wellcraft Aft Cabin. I havent been on the Bay since 2015 when I sold my boat.

You missed so much in the chesapeake, smith and tangier islands are a must see, Havre de Grace at the top of the bay is a cool little town as well, thats where we are. Beware of the jetty at the delaware end of the canal. We salvaged a 55' gulfstar off of it many years ago...

I live 10ish minutes from Chesapeake city on the north side of the canal in Delaware. The restaurant and bar on south side is $$$$ Schaefers canal house is more affordable and more of a neighborhood bar and restaurant.

Again, the Chesapeake was kind to you (other than the crab pots and all the debris in the water …and I’m sure you are justifiably hyper-paranoid about bumping into anything!) So nice when a marina not only responds promptly to your call, but comes back by saying they’re all ready for you and gives you the slip location without you even having to ask! 👍 (BTW, simply MENTIONING Ollie at the beginning is not a substitute for actually SHOWING Ollie!) 😂😂😂

You got lucky with the weather. That area can get nasty real quick, especially late afternoons. Based on the debris, you must have passed through after a particularly high tide and flooding this year. There was crap everywhere. The water was so high, that you had to walk up the ramp onto the floating docks, not down.

Dad Air Force Pilot stationed at Dover, DE. From Augusta, GA so crossed that bridge many times going back south. Looking forward to going underneath it one day.

Enjoyable day. I've traveled The Bay Bridge several times. Very cool to see the structure from a whole new perspective. All the debris in the Elk River may have been due to flooding from hurricane Helene. Let's keep moving. Be Safe.

Glad you enjoyed Maryland. It's so strange to see Chesapeake Inn so quiet. As for the Bay Bridge; if you Google it, it comes up as one of the scariest bridges in America. Some will actually pay to have a driver drive their car across. So, yes, it is strange with the turn in the bridge. Although, that is done so the bridge will be perpendicular to boat traffic. Great video and series.
