I'm reminded of the first body damage to my WRX. I went off the road in a snowstorm and into some barbed wire fencing. I was devastated, but it was so freeing!

Lowering it changes the caster. This angle is what makes your steering return to center. Find a way to fit shims between the beam and body to bring back the caster or live with it. If you do the former, you'll want longer bolts, too. They do this on the bugs, too. Check out the wheels on a shopping cart. They call them casters and you will see the angle and they always return to a starting position.

One last note if you put shims, they would go just on the bottom portion of the beam.

I think you’re talking about a Type 1 beam, bud. Those don’t exist for Type 3 beams
@elpuerco60592 ай бұрын
@@jeremydoc It would require some fabrication, yes.
@jeremydoc2 ай бұрын
@@elpuerco6059 have you seen the differences between a type 1 and type 3 beam? It def would need more than a little bit of fabrication lol. Clamps and everything are a completely different style and the beam is a completely different shape.

Basically you're just trying to restore the vertical nature of the beam, the way it would be if you hadn't changed the angle of the vehicle.
