I’m from Alabama and I own a Himalayan nice to see someone ride the SM500 on one. I look forward to planning a trip to ride it one day

Had an NC700XDCT. Liked the DCT once I got used to it. Spent a lot of time ghost shifting. That bike prepared me for the Himalayan. I'm 70 and still can't/won't pay $34000 for a motorcycle. All of my motorcycles have to come out of my "can" money. That's my allowance. When I returned to riding after retiring from being an educator, a group of us (Honda Nighthawks) would meet at The Kickstand Lodge in Stecoah. We'd camp there and ride out on various routes. I did that for many years and really enjoyed the time. I met guys in that group with whom started doing destination rides. Great camaraderie and I now have friends all over the country. Mo, the proprietor of Kickstand will never forget your name. Absolutely amazing. I'm proud of my "I Know Mo" sticker.

Have had 5 Goldwings but never have ridden the DCT. To expensive for this old man😅

Just puttering along through a beautiful landscape, whilst commenting softly. You truly are the Bob Ross of motovlogging.😁 Loved and liked👍 it, again.

Great video with beautiful scenery! Always put some blue loctite on your hardware to keep them from vibrating loose. No matter how tight it is, the vibration and expanding/contracting will loosen it over time. Lock washers help too!

I've had coffee at that table you started the video at. One of my favorite campgrounds.

There is a nut on the back of that bottom clamp to lock that bolt in. I installed a delkevic exhaust yesterday

Love the way the Delkevic sounds on the Himalayan

@@advmike yes it sounds great. I noticed a difference in the response of the bike as well.

The new bikes are neat for some, but auto transmisions were cool when they came out in cars too. People still drive sticks. I like the clutch for low speed maneuvering. Always will.

I noticed you still have the rubber boot in your footpeg. Off road I never feel like I have enough grip with mine in. P.S. I loved the old band throwback.

I blame Bigfoot for the lost exhaust spacer - he sabotaged your bike.

Any full videos of your band? Too long BCT (before current technology)? Good hair in this one.

There's some old garbage over at: www.youtube.com/@treadmovies/videos . 2 from 1995. a couple from 2007. if only there was youtube at the time - we would have had an excellent band vlog...

It's nothing new, back in the 80's Honda had 3 automatics. the 400 A, 750 A and 1100 A

Husky (swedish) had a motocross bike with an automatic transmission in the mid 1970's . Not auto clutch like the Honda ct70's ....it was full on auto trans ....l ike a car. Terry Cunningham won a championship or two on them . But never was a hit in the market
@mikeandrews189911 ай бұрын
From its start as a Swedish Army motorcycle in 1973, the Husqvarna Automatic had some major hurdles to overcome. The first production Auto to hit American shores was the 1975 360 Auto. It shined on rough and tight off-road trails but had issues when ridden in motocross conditions.
