To be a good individual or follow Shaytaan is a choice that each human has individually. Like we have examples of Habeel and Qabeel, we have examples of Yazid and his son Muawiya. We all know what Yazid did while his son denounced all and left the caliphate. Parents do make an impact but each individual has his/her own choice of which path to choose.

So basically Abdal Mutallib was a Muslim and he taught Allah's religion to only one of his sons and left all of his children on the wrong path. Another question it rases is that whenever Prophet PBUH invited Abu Lahab to Islam, He declined it by saying how can I leave the religion of my forefathers, was he not aware of his father's monotheism?

And you mentioned the that Azar is not Ibrahim's Father but uncle. so is there any other instance where Allah called an uncle as father? as far as I remember, people used to call Zayd as Zayd bin Muhammad, Allah revealed a verse explicitly ordering people to him by his father's name and prohibiting adoption. what is your take on it?

8:43 Assalaamu Alaikum Sir. The point about the importance of genetics here, would it not be problematic for a religion that has people converting into it? So many of the sahabahs are people who were mushriks and kafirs, and then went on to convert to Islam. They had non muslim parent, and lineages. Are they also impure? Also, doesnt this also apply to Abu lahab, because he is Rasool (pbuh)'s uncle, and genetically related to him? Like what that means is that prophet's pure grandfather and grandmother gave birth to prophet's pure father, as well as his impure uncle? Then how can Abdul muthalib be a pure father, if he also gave birth to abu lahab? But at the same time, your logic makes complete sense to me as a sunni. An all knowing God who would allow that his favourite human being of all time would have his entire lineage is very difficult to believe in. But at the same time, it would be wrong to interpolate a genetic explanation because that would include uncles.

Hence the reason those with impure lineages are not given the responsibilities to lead the Ummah. As for uncles like Abu Lahab, they indeed had pure lineages, but they choose not to accept the message of Allah. Hence their pure lineages did not help them.

Salaam. I have a question. If the prophets direct ancestors were keepers of the Kabaah why did they let idol worship and deviant Hajj take place before the prophet brought the message of Islam?

Alaykum Salaam. For the same reason Prophet Harun let Israelites to worship the calf till the return of Prophet Musa. Sometimes, those on good have to limit their resistance due to the circumstances. This answer is very short, but that's the base principle.

I think not majority in our ahli sunnah accused parents and grand parents are musyrik Maybe small part of ahli sunnah (mostly wahabi) was accused that In Indonesia our country Majority is syafi'i ahli sunnah Believe that they are noble people and we call them Sayid abd mun tholib Sayid abdulloh Siti aminah This is base teaching when I grow up in elementary school But not with Sayidina abi tholib Majority accused him as disbeliever Iam following dzuriyah nabi saww for lecturing Many habib (dzuriyah nabi) guide us

@@Thaqlain in tarekat sufism on ahli sunnah all patronesse is through sayidina imam jafar going up to sayidina imam al baghir,vsayidina imam as sajjad, sayidina imam husain until sayidina imam ali and to rosululloh saww there is many path to sayidina imam jafar 1st way through syeh abd qodir al jaelani, which his father was descendent of sayidina imam hasan ibn hassan al mutsana and the mother was descendent from sayidina imam al khadzim 2nd way from dzuriyah sayidina imam ali ibn jaffar al uraidhi... sayidina imam ubaydillah ibn ahmad al muhajir ibn isa ar rumi ibn muhammad an naqib ibn ali al uraidhi ibn jaffar as shoddiq and so on habaib from yemen and many other tarekat and no body on this sufism order was accused sayidina abdulloh, sayidah aminah, sayidina abi tholib and sayidina abd muntholib was kufr

Yeah Allah can allow some fathers of some prophet and some children of some prophet to be disbeliever, like Ibrahim his father, like the son of Nuh, are you saying Allah didn't plan that, don't play with the emotions of the people because of their attachment to the Prophet and let Allah decide this on the day, you keep making stories and turning this around, let fear Allah in our speech and keep silent on what Allah hasn't given, and you stop explain things from your own, when the Sunni mentioned Rasul referred to Abu talib as his father in the hadith you disputed that he would have mentioned his uncle direct, enough man, enough
