Don't break the illusion guys, people watch for so many reasons, you will always have views, whatever you post. I often think Al and Gina must be so disaplined and driven to post like they do, and to have achieved so much. KZbin is a gift if you use it properly and a great escape from normal mundane tv for us. We also feel we are helping you guys by watching.🙂👍🏻

Jason, when choosing which tractor you want, you should also consider, after price, having a good capable dealer with good service close by. Look at how Al had to sell his excavator because of the lack of service within a reasonable distance.
@clarencewiles96317 сағат бұрын
Good point having a servicing dealer is most important.

You young fellers have awakened a story with your talk about freezing weather and vehicles starting. I live in central Montana, It can get very cold -40 is no stranger. Any way about 30 yrs ago we had a cold cold cold spell. 40 below was common for a spell. I got up one morning to go to work and it was about 35 below. I went out to start the car, which was a little french model. I had it in gear and cranked it up. It started fine, but the throttle was froze wide open, so I went to shift into neutral and the gear shifter broke off at the floor. So I shut it down and went back to bed

Homesteader here in Central Maine, and love your shop talk podcasts!! I have been pleasantly surprised listening to you all and gaining wisdom from your chit-chat! Look forward to each new podcast! Happy Birthday to both Ben and Jason!! My brother raised ostrich for a bit, they are omnivores. Lay 1-2 eggs per week. Each egg equals a dozen chicken eggs. I personally do not prefer the taste of ostrich egg.

About those fence post guys. This old girl loves to watch The Waltons and the Pa Walton had a sawmill business and made the straightest fence post and the red headed son kept the fire under the tar bucket going and dipped a post into the bucket and when cooled loaded the old truck to take them to the army base. I love watching you guys.

I have one New Year's Resolution every year: to pick and do at least one of the things on my to-do list every day. So far, that carries me about six months until I forget about it. Top of the list for Jason....new AC unit for the cooler and most definitely a tractor. I can remember in the early years o watching Al, it seemed like he plowed snow every morning before he started his chores. I thought at the time, I could not live with that much snow or cold. We are pretty lucky in the area of Virginia where I live, our temps are more moderate, snow is few and far between, and that is just fine with me now. Y'all have a happy New Year with your families. I'm looking forward to Ben getting that room finished before gardening season. 😄😄😄

All the little nuggets that you sprinkle throughout this whole show are priceless! Even if I'm seeing the same things over and over again it's reminding me that this is the lifestyle I'm getting into, myself! I regularly watch around 30 channels now. Everything repeats on a homestead year-over-year but there's always something new to learn! Anyone who is just looking for the next update, disinterested in the rest, must have their lives 1,000 percent together and their noses in the air...or don't actually have a homestead or dreaming of a homestead!😂

I was watering the dairy cows a few days ago and I noticed a tag that was attached to a post that said: “J.Neils Lumber Company 1950 Cedar Poles, Libby, Montana”. Wow!
