I am really enjoying the Ditching The Split series. Great content. I had watched the pool reno (which was great) sometime ago and apparently forgot to subscribe then. First time watcher here. So I’ve just binged episodes 1-8 of Ditching the Split simply because of the title. I’ve lived in two split entry houses. The first was in Syracuse, NY, a rental while I was in grad school. Hated it but the rent was good. The second was one my wife owned when we got married. Hated it. So did she, but the yard was amazing. Sound familiar? So we’ve never owned another …and never will, but I was intrigued boy how you would accomplish your goal. You. Nailed. It. Andrew, your skills are awesome and Sabrina, the look in your eyes when you talk about his skills, so cute. Don’t lose that feeling. Keep up the good work.

Just WOW! The amount of light in your kitchen with the new window is amazing. You have such beautiful gardens that doing dishes will be a pleasure. I am so glad to live vicariously with you two as my husband is not handy (hates it and would rather workout or run) and panics whenever I suggest "a little project" as we end up hiring and then redoing too!! As we've gotten older and moved from coast-to-coast in our 34 year marriage/adventure, our renovation days are over which is a other reason why I enjoy watching you so much. Sabrina, you scared the bejeesus out of me watching you walk down the back steps with an arm full of brick. That sounds like a dangerous drinking game. 😂😂 and for real, out of all the Canadians I’ve met/watch on yt, I think Andrew says “eh” the most. 😂 I love how it’s coming out! Love the deck ceiling, it came out so nice. I can’t wait to see how the completed deck looks. And the kitchen window!! 🥹😭 got I wish I had a window that big in my kitchen! Although I wouldn’t have as much to look at in my backyard besides a now dried up hydrangea and the house behind mine. 😂 But honestly, with that view of the yard, it would be such a shame to not be able to appreciate it. Especially when you’re stuck doing a chore like dishes. lol. Also, the way it just poured and then there were rainbows, I feel like it was so poetic for this project.

My sister put one one in her new kitchen addition with a bar on the outside with tall chairs and it looks incredible!! Nice clear huge cut glass window that slides to each side outside they also put in a beer keg with a serving tap right under the counter by the serving window. Of course their big deck with the top like yours bbq too is right there too they did an addition upstairs too with a deck above out from the new master with a gorgeous hot tube and privacy black stain wood half wall Over $500,000 addition. CRAZYYYYYY LOL
