I spent all of 2020 planning and building a foundation to start a business. I finally moved into my own place and suddenly I had this overwhelming fear of exactly what you said. And yes I moved out because no one understood and needed my own environment. I got that second-hand doubt and fear. I have been looking for a job since I moved in, and stopped putting in the work. Starting tomorrow I'm going all in. Thanks guys, this really helped my mindset and I will be listening to this every morning. STAY THE COURSE

Been working and saving all my life. Would spend to live life a little but overall do without to save. Living in my car at 15 for several years taught me to be like that. Now as a old man with young kids, needed to hear this. Actually been wandering if God wasn't guiding me towards things I need, like a tractor, good truck, more than the money depreciating. Glad I seen this. Stumbled on you all yesterday and at first I thought who the heck are these huras. Thankful I kept listening. Shocked me I posted about you all on Facebook yesterday and this morning in church, a man I know was telling stories about knowing you! Thanks

I watched the 1st one Chadd, and I was a lil worried bout ya, could tell you were really shook up, but you brought up good points. Been around wealth, and poverty, and I've lived that PPM life when younger. A child coming along made me want to do more, got me out of that thinking. Successful entrepreneur for the last 20 yrs. Tried 3 times, 3rd a charm. It is a scary jump. Still going, and delivering food at nt for extra moola now, as you said, a stepping stone to the next opportunity. Dream big, failure is temporary.

I'm really glad to hear that you think so much of us who watch n listen. I've been through a lot of rough things in life n the last one was my Mother going to be with Jesus three years ago. It's had me in very bad shape since then n I've gotten good at hiding it By bad shape I mean filled with sadness. It brought me way down n the first time I heard you speak, Chad, it brought me up n noticably so to me even. So I've been a loyal listener since n just know, you're doing therapy for some of us n you don't even know it. The Lord's using you very well. Abt the poor mentality, I've been next to broke most of my life but everywhere I've worked,my bosses have said I'm one of the best they've ever had. Never think you're weak or you are. They said I wouldn't walk after a truck landed on me n I'm fifty two now n my boss still says I'm the best he's ever had. You guys are my peace of mind outside Jesus Christ. Love you guys n proud to be in the circle .

Man, the universal being just keeps pointing me to y'all. Either that or big brother really is watching. I bought a DD mark 18 today and started freaking out afterward. Then, boom! This year old video comes across my feed. I'm at a loss for words. I've already given my life over, and it's been working miracles for me. Just wanted to let y'all know again. Thanks for starting your project

Our actions affect the people around us and reflects who we are as a person, now I’m up at 2:30 5 days a week I workout 7 and jits class I can run an ultra, but I work under leaders who don’t work and poke fun and create a hostile environment now I try to stay calm but the dog in me wants to bite,so I’ve devised a way to beat them and that’s carry the boats but it don’t change nothing, because management don’t care we are all just body’s.

Hey dude…to some managers you are just a commodity and your feelings and mental state are secondary to the bottom line. Going through that myself at the minute and I know exactly what you mean about wanting to bite. Sometimes that’s the worst thing you can do, feels great in the moment but they will get you back in the long run. Love this pod and also Jocko Willink has some great stuff on getting by working for difficult people. Well worth searching out if you haven’t already. Hope things are better or getting there since your post

Such a great episode. Really love what you said about God always providing . I know many people in that poor person mindset and they just worry about not having enough and its poison for the heart and soul and its contagious! 3 of 7 has wisdom beyond its years. Y'all are good people and from one veteran to another, thank you for your service Chadd!

You made a lot of good points yesterday. A lot of truth in it. I can see now how it could beat down on someone holding on tight. But we know it’s from a place of love. Keep being human. Not listening for perfection!

Sometimes the poor person mentality is the result of a life time of being rejected, disenfranchised, marginalized, and ostracized by a society that celebrates celebrates monetary gain and materialism over the person. Its every day being followed in the stores, smirked at because youre dirty because it was too cold in your house to bath. Rejected from extra curricular activities because you cant afford them. Left out, laughed at and picked on day after day after day because youre poor. Pretty soon any little table scrap of success and accomplishment you eek out of life becomes something you value and cling to. It takes a hard person to break that cycle. Most poor people dont even try. Some die tryin. Others get lucky. Other work hard and make it out. Glad you made it out. Brother

Chadd, here are a couple of examples of Poor Person Mentality vs Rich Person Mentality. PPM hoards his one piece of the pie because he is not sure when another one will come his way, RPM gives away the pie because he knows he can bake another one. PPM will not share his ideas because he never knows when he will have another good idea, RPM shares his ideas with others because he knows there are more where that one came from.

We have been so programmed into thinking the only way to succeed is by trading effort for currency. Currency is nothing more than an idea, and only holds value cause we all believe it does. Something that fickle can go away in an instant! Love the 🔥 you dropped!
