The realization that I came to is that I have put time into these 2 that has helped a lot, and even though I have learned a lot from Sam, mark, and any other comedian or joe with a podcast is that, after I die, they will still go on. I wasn’t even on their radar, this parasocial relationship I have created without there awareness, has brought me to the reality that even if I’m gone. They’ll keep going. I am nothing to them, a fan yes, but still… it’s as though all the advice and insight they provide is mostly to help yes, but at the end of the day, if they’re getting 1 mill vies plus, my life is just a measly view to them. I’m not saying they stated this onslaught of cynicism, but the fact of listening to a conversation days, weeks, months old led me to the realization that I am so insignificant to them that the loss of myself wouldn’t even register. To 2 people that I have selfishly attached myself to and then coming to the realization that it is part of the agreement I signed that these folks are only here for entertainment. I need to leave these fine people of comedy and get the help I desperately need instead of Turing to a dissociative state of pretending that these people’s lives are more important than my own. I’m sorry for my rant, I just don’t have another outlet than this comment section. And I know that’s sad but it’s the only platform I could have the courage to accept this and not feel as though I’m being watched.
