This recap serves as a practical guide for prospective cruisers of Indonesia, that does not fail to honestly report the negatives as well as the positives. Your video series as a whole is a fine documentary of the region, so prolific in biological diversity and beauty. As discussed, due to the lack of conservation records such as this may (sadly!) become the only way that our posterity can experience it.

Hey Guys, great to hear the good & the bad. I am very nervous about more people harassing us & trying to board our boat. We had at least 5 boats in Namatote harass us & our buddy boat for money. Our friends (fluent in Indo) even met with the chief and gave him a gift, then he said we could stay the 2 nights, then came back demanding 3 million to start! Have had good experiences since. But heading to Misool now & expecting some issues. Looking forward to watching some more vids (between editing) to see your experiences!

Thanks for watching. We had ups and downs but for the most part we enjoyed our time in Indonesia. I think honestly it’s luck of the draw and maybe we were a target being there (in the remote regions) so soon after COVID. People were desperate. It’s still wears on you after a while though when you feel like your privacy is invaded. If you have your Raja passes you should be okay in Misool. We couldn’t get ours until we reached Waisai so we were kicked out of Misool by the local resort manager. It leaves a bad taste especially when you can’t see where all the money goes that’s supposedly for the environment. Fair winds! I hope you get through unscathed 😉
