Love the colors you made and spun. I took your advice a few weeks ago and collected acorns and made a dye bath. I have a Southdown fleece that has a lot of VM in it. I washed some of the fleece, combed 20g and dyed the combed fiber. I just today used hand cards to make rolags. My acorn color is similar to yours. Next time I may add some allum. Thanks Robert for all the Vlogmas videos.

Beautiful structure needs worsted spun yarn to show off beautifully, but your socks looks cosy though. Wow I love your catbags! I'm looking forward to seeing your shawl, it will be very beautiful.

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress on the blanket. Gary lives near me and comes along to our knit group when he has time. He is so creative and a lovely man.

Great video, as always Robert - thank you. Your advent yarns are gorgeous! It was good to hear you talking about the importance of shearing a fleece well! I had a dreadfully sheared on (BWM) for my first fleece, so I didn’t know what I was doing and it took forever! I was also learning to spin and made quite a dreadful (but fun!) job if it! Luckily I didn’t give up! Shearing is such a wonderful skill !! I imagine, in your Ireland dream homestead, you will be learning to hand shear…..🤔😂

@beverleylawton6899 Thank you 😊 ❤️ Yes, shearing is the only step i am missing from my " from sheep to garment " journey, but i am hoping to get there soon 🙏

So sad when a shearer is not thinking about the handspinner and makes a lot of second cuts in a beautiful fleece. 😢

Happy new year, Robert. The sock looks lovely to me, warm and cozy and fitting! I can't wait to see your finished cloak, you will look magnificent in it! I love how the hat demonstrates how your yarn turned out. Good idea to make the Bluebird blanket bigger, it's looking good already. And the colours for your shawl are gorgeous! I gave my daughter in law her sweater and it fits, looks gorgeous and she loves it, thank goodness!

Happy New Year, I use combs for wool where there is alot of second cuts, then quicky card for woolen spinning.I shear with hand shears but people give me fleeceS they have done with electric clippers so know the problem well. I am loving your videos and are especially interested by the colors you got using copper.
