This was just brilliant! I was swept along with your enthusiasm, just fascinating. I can't believe that Malvern/Maggie could have a better owner than you. Looking forward to further history and adventures. Thank you, Tony

I keep having to pause - I'm interested in what you are saying, but I have to pause because Lela is cracking me up! Her expressions are hilarious, the way she tilts her head to look at you, look around, yawn, lick, tilt, sitting next to you like she is involved & a person etc... I keep laughing and missing what you are saying.... I LOVE lela - she is one of the most expressive dogs ever. Now, I'm heading back to restart this section so I can catch what I missed while laughing with / at Lela!

I love history, and this video was right up my alley! I wish I could see these boats in person and touch the walls imagining the lives of all those who lived there. You are telling their story; they were here on this earth, and they mattered. Thank you! xoxo's Sandie🤗

What a beautiful dog Leila is - hilarious and so intelligent. So well behaved as well. Thanks for sharing the information, it's a really interesting story with some huge engineering manufacturers of the past Armstrong Siddeley (?), Listers. Worth a look at the local libraries, especially Ellesmere as that would have been a hub of canal boat activity. All the best, I'll try and send a coffee and a bine for Leila later for all of your efforts.

Really enjoyed this episode and fascinating to see the cabin. I've been trying to collate the history of my barge although at the moment have only found official Dutch records of the weighing etc based on the numbers I found on the hull when stripping the paint off. Along with the official documentation there were some scanned documents from the previous owners which was amazing to see. Also I found out she originally was called Luctor et Emergo (struggle and emerge), then Emmanuel, then finally around the 1940s was called Hoop Op Welvaart (hope of prosperity). It's wonderful to have a historic boat and look forward to hearing more about Maggie. xx

Fantastic, I’ve just fell across your channel looking for information for a couple of photographic projects on the canal systems. My great grandfather well by all accounts my great grandmother had a canal boat company running out of Griff & Coton from their farm moving coal from the Griff pits to London and Ellesmere. But my grandad didn’t speak much of it as he was embarrassed of the water gipsy mark the family had. It was a stigma a few years back by all accounts. I’m sure I’ve seen your boat in the last few weeks while out and about with the cameras, keep up the great work, and good look with the search.

I’ve just come across channel/vlog quite by accident and I have to say, it’s been most interesting. The thing the got me interested in the first place is, your boat is 70 feet long, much longer than most other live-aboard vlogs that I follow and wondered what, if any, problems her length posed 🤔 However, now I think there’s a great deal more to learn about this venerable old vessel.
