I’m glad I have an older cobra jet Manifold. My Twin 69mm VMP is easily accommodated by the large open throat on the older CJs

Debating if I wanna do Reg Mono Conversion or get the Boost Proof Version, im also debating between the VMP Twin 69MM or the VMP 137MM Throttle Body

I’m looking at those two as well. I want the most out of the car, but I do daily it as well. What specific “driving issues” come the 137?

@@coyotehd816 I still don’t know the pros & cons of either but my tuner said go with the twin 69 TB & I got the ported manifold none boost proof

​@Foundavid07 I got the twin 69 on my gen3r 07 gt500 I'm pushing 20 psi but older gt500s were low compression so I'm on 93 and boostane. It picked up a good bit over the twin 65 cj on the same setup it was being held back by that small tbody it dynoed 724/690 with stock headers and the small tbody on the same fuel. I gaurantee its making 30 or so more now easily haven't re dynoed but it picked up alot and still drives perfect. I was going to get the 137 but it was on back order. I still might get it I'm not sure the twin 69 can flow quite a lot it's much larger than the twin 65. I didn't need additional tuning adjustments for the twin blade also

@@Oatis_07 I got the Mono conversion non boost proof as well, and since I can’t find anything specific on the mono throttle vs twin 69 as far as review and true drivability I’ll probably get both then post a review video on the VMP 137 and twin jet 69 throttle bodies with the V2 Cobra jet so others can find what I have been searching for lol

@jp tech talk do you recommend a twin 65 bored to a 67 over the twin 69 then ? And what issues do you run into with the monoblade for drivability?

The twin 67 and 69 are both great and better for drivability. Unless it's a full tilt max effort n/a car pair one of those with a mono conversion unit. Drivability with a mono will vary by the throttle, whether or not it's from a good or bad batch, the tuner, the air, everything.

I ordered the new cobra jet ported (standard twin) from you guys 1320. But i was wondering if i can use the VMP 69mm TB or do I have to use the 65mm TB ?

The vmp is in the video. You can use it on the stock cj, but it will be restricted due to the stock bores

I think Steeda did a video comparing the old and new cobra jet. There was no statistical improvement. Maybe 1%, but very small changes in air temp/density could change that much. I have the old one with a twin 69 VMP. At least the old on has a wide open port that fits the twin 69mm almost perfectly

@@poorboy3136 Well that might be as good as it gets. There are other factors. the old CJ already would support more airflow than a stock motor could take advantage of. Steeda tested a stock basically stock motor(might’ve had headers). If you get ported heads, or much larger cams, or something, there may be some advantages to the newer CJ. Just doesn’t make a difference on an otherwise stock motor

Mono is always the most flow, whether it's worth it over a twin jet is arguable

I’m install mine but shit after like three cold air intakes that don’t fit because the fans in the way don’t know what to do anymore

@@jptechtalk4685 vmp 69mm throttle body cj2 manifold but the fan is in the way each time when I go to put in an air intake I tried the ford performance and the pmas I’m trying the steeda now to see if it’ll work

@@codienejody68which cold air , you ended up putting bro? I was the same i ended up with the p51-c , i had to do some adjustments to make it fit but works excellent currently datalogging on 93 car idles like stock , same setup as you!

Screw the VMP TBs. Blows my mind the Whipple TBs are more common on CJs.

The Whipple twin 68 is a great throttle but the fact that it doesn't come with new electronics and motor makes it tricky for some at the price point.
