What a very enjoyable watch. Great scenery. Surprised just how much traffic there is up there. Chug just keeps on going. Seems perfectly suited for this sort of terrain and conditions.

Another excellent series, I enjoyed all Scotland and all the Lake District. I voted fir the v strom, I don’t mind being proved wrong. I dropped a tooth in front on mine, doesn’t change the gap to 2nd but it allows 2nd to be used in more places. For my use, there was no loss of speed on the top end....bike over geared for my typical load and environment. Thanks for the great rides Sandy!

Lovely video, I was in Keswick last week but the town itself was very busy so I left after a short walk to the lake. The weather was really nice back end of last week!

Such a great series of videos Sandy. I am really it. You must be getting a little saddle sore by now from all of that riding that you have done the past few days. You have managed to cross all of the passes off your to do list and now maybe you will have some easier travelling. Now just sit back and enjoy the ride and the beautiful views. My God at 4:38 what a view. That's not of this world. Must be amazing to suddenly ride into that. I had some similar experiences in Norway. Still remember it as if it was yesterday. A moment of intense joy.

Thanks Noel, I think some of the roads in the lakes were busier than normal with many people not going abroad for holidays. I could be heading over the Channel perhaps next year. I hear the roads in France are very quiet

My Biggest regret now, is that when I was stationed in Giessen, I did not take the time to see more of England. just few short hours in Southampton. It was fun to virtually travel along with you. The landscape is so different than what I imagined for the Lake District. Silly me, imagining some low gentle rolling hills and lots of pretty lakes. It's gorgeous, reality is much better. No wonder Wordsworth and the boys got so inspired by it. And in turn, you're inspiring some of us to get out and do. Thanks for the videos.

Really enjoyed that Sandy, interesting and well made video. I once went over Kirkstone to go camping in Langdale in November and it was nil visibility over Kirksone, i had to get out and walk in front of the car for a couple of miles. It was a bit scary. Take it easy 👍

With the diverse weather and surface conditions you encounter, I'm interested in the tyres you have on your bikes. We have many brands over here and it's often a difficult choice. The tyres are stock supplied when the bike was new. Pirelli MT60 which are 50/50 on off road tyres so I'm told Clive

Very beautiful. I am not sure why you have not replaced those mirrors as yet. Second modification I made to our Himi Amos. The stock mirrors were great for viewing my elbows.

Lovely tour shame about the low clouds spoiling an otherwise grand views, I did the same tour 40 years ago on a vespa scooter!! Years later I discovered Europe and the Alps French, Austria, Switze, Italian,Truely awesome in every way, Breathtaking views snow topped mountains, Near empty roads, Great food, Camping sites second to none,Clean toilets showers (hot) drying rooms for wet gear, cafes come shops, 30 years later I have 5 thousand photos and countless memories to look back to!! St Bernard's pass, Where I met a group of American bikers who between them have travelled extensively all over north America and Canada said, St Bernard's pass is the best mountain pass in the world by far!!

Brilliant again Sandy. Really glad you did it on Chug. Im off to Devon/Cornwall next week and im very tempted to take Sarchu (my Himi) rather than my Crosstourer. Dilemma for me is im travelling with another big bike, if i were on my own it'd definatly be the R.E.

Did the kirkstone pass on the Honda Grom. From windermere to Patterdale then Ambleside to Patterdale then reverse the routes. Got a big cheer from a group of Bikers that were stopped on the kirkstone pass locally known as the struggle.

I Remember doing the Kirkstone pass in a Morris minor in the 80’s with limited brakes , I agree with you on the Himmy braking issue never had any worries with mine,

Another outstanding video ! on your go pro issue...i have four "go pro 3" cameras. i love them for what they are but I had the same "Freeze up" problem you did. research said that i needed a higher speed memory card. i spent the extra money and that solved the problem. Just put that out there incase you have not already tried it. Love your videos mate !
