I have 2007 also blue , 335 hours all original except supercharger was changed at 170 hours

Same thing with the ultra ended up finding a buyer for it as soon as I finished it, the skis have their problems but I am a big fan of them also!

That kawi blue is so beautiful. I agree with you on the XLL/XLT hulls. The motors suck, I do like the hulls though. I've been swapping the older 63m/65u triples into them. I want to do a 1.8 or even kawi 1500 swap to one soon.

Great Video! I have a 2007 Kawasaki 250ultra supercharger. pretty much the same one you have. Unfortunately it is not running and it is a Kawasaki dealer ship being worked on. Long story short, I bought it 2nd hand with 144 hours on it. we water tested it, ran fine. however on my first day out, Battery died, replaced it, ran fine. 2nd day out, ran fine. However 3rd time out,, dead! nothing... Took it into the shop, Technician stated Bad spark plugs, but great compression, however the bypass outlet// pisser blocked. They cleared it out and water tested it, ran fine for 30-45 minutes and than noticed again that the pisser was blocked. dealer ship called me to tell me that they would need to remove entire engine to find blockage in lines. I said I will come and pick up the ski and figure it out myself..long story even longer... I picked up the ski.. cuz tech said it runs fine..I started the ski yesterday.. Dead,, brought it back to dealership and waiting on cause??? wish I saw this video b4 buying my ski....

So the ski wasn't maintained properly by the previous owner. Causing corrosion build up which caused the blockage.

This was definitely some great info for me as I am currently building my 250x I will be putting a vortex charger in it but I’m using a 15f bottom end with the lx head but I also have my back up 260 ski that I will be using the 300 head thank you for the great content keep it goin definitely worth the subscription and looking forward to the rest of the build 👍🏼👍🏼

Great video. I plan to update mine as well with the 300 head. Did you use the stock 300 valves? Someone is telling me that they won’t work on the 250x. Would 250x cams work on that head?

300 head 250x valves and 250x cams it all works together

Helpful video man, I just got an 07 250x that needs valves and some timing stuff done to it. I have 2 questions: 1. What kind of torque specs did you use for all of the bolts putting the head back on 2. How did you manage to get the timing correct?

Just out of curiosity, did you use the original 250X cams or did you switch to the 300X cams ? it is said that the cam gears are different but the gains would be nice. Aloe any reason why you didn't switch to the 300X supercharger ?

The cams and valves are from the 250 X there’s too many variables when you’re switching those things. Also the 300 supercharger is totally different it mounts differently it is possible but a lot of work ,easier just to get a whole 300 motor.

So far 68 mph but I’m running pink injectors, The ski is running way way too rich , I drink 15 gallons in not even 30 minutes. My RPMs are 8000. I want to see 8300 RPMs maybe 84 before I swap the prop hopefully it will be in the 70+ mph

I put a timeing mod on my ski I got 71 has stock impiler and injectors also has riva air filter and riva intake grate and plate

So you're telling people to stay away from the older ultras because they have alot of problems. But yours looks to have had only one issue. That issue is hit or miss.

Pump was redone bulk head bearing was redone gio problem (gas in oil) I’m still trying to figure out, supercharger rotors delaminated had to buy a new one, that was only some of the problems I ran in to.

@@Krisuno I’ve heard that the supercharger has to be rebuilt after 100 hours regardless of brand. But I just own an old two stroke stx 1100 so I’m not very knowledgeable on those ultras. But from what I’ve heard the ultra 300-310 are far better skis.

The Kawasaki Ultra 250/260 are bad. Very unreliable. Idk what you mean when you say "the Kawasaki Ultra has a lot of problems" 300/310 is a fairly decent supercharged models. The 2019 and up ones especially. The non supercharged Ultras are bulletproof. The Ultra hull is the best rough water hull. Please don’t hate on Kawasakis. SeaDoo and Yamaha sacrifice hull integrity for speed and for larger engines. Kawi prioritizes reliability over innovation true but I trust their product
