Teriyaki Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (125ml) rice wine or sake.
- 1/2 cup (125ml) mirin OR 1/2 cup water + 3 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup (125ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60ml/4 tbsp) sugar
Directions:
- Mix everything in a pan, turn on heat and cook/stir until sugar dissolved.
- Once brought to boil, turn down to medium/low heat and simmer 10 - 15 minutes to reduce/thicken sauce. Do watch over the sauce to prevent it from burning.
- When cool, store in a sterilised glass jar and refrigerate. Stores for 2 - 3 weeks.
