The Volca FM has an arpeggiator/chorus/step sequencer and the ability to automate though, the only limitations I find it has are the three voices and the inability to have velocity go in via a controller (fixed with a special cable by retrokits). It actually sounds identical to the DX7 with a little bit of tweaking for each preset too, so I honestly don't see how other than the voices the DX7 is superior. The pricing on it makes it a serious piece of kit too.

The Juno-106 came out after the Jupiter-6, which had midi, presets and arpeggio. The Jupiter-6 was my first synthesizer. I created many experiments in sound on that synth. I was even able to record in an un-acoustically padded movie theater. The textures I created in that theater were awesome. I was a pioneer but thought no one else would appreciate what I was creating. So the muse eventually faded away... Until soft-synth. Then all I needed was a MIDI keyboard and a computer that had Reason installed. I have found memories of the old school synthesizer, but I felt it was time to move on.

Amazing! I watched Stranger Things and loved the music, since I´m a 80´s synth fan, so awesome how you show step by step how to make the same sounds from the tv series!

Back in 1983 synthesizers were still considered as 'fake music' by many music critics. I recall an interview I found here on YT where Brian May really felt pressured to explain why Queen had dared to use analogue synthesizers on their early 1980s albums... And now these wonderful instruments have finally become 'comme il faut'. There is a *lot* of original Tangerine Dream music in season 1. It uses outtakes from several of their albums recorded between 1973 and 1983.

Yes, some might say he was destined to work for us or become our arch nemesis. We're glad it was the first one!

I felt a little dumb when I realized, after like 2 years, that Alicia Keys was not her real last name. I mean, hey Keys is not a totally rare name, it's not like it would be impossible. I just never gave it a second thought. LOL

Brings back memories of life in the 80's when the family would gather up and tune in to our favorite show together with a brown grocery bag of oily popcorn that mom cooked over the stove ( no microwave back then). Also...check out both intros to V the series, very interesting intros as well.
