Btw, Into The Groove actually came out in the summer of 1985, while the Like A Virgin album was released in late 1984. ITG was never released as single in the U.S., instead it was the B-side of her 12" single Angel. It however, was released a single in Europe and the UK, where it became her 1st No. 1 single. And due to its massive success, it was included on the LAV album reissue in 1985. This song has got to be one of the greatest dance track ever. The original version is incomparable. It has so much drive and oomph. If you don't dance when you hear it you're dead inside. Thanks for the awesome video on this song.

It came out around when Back to the Future came out? BTTF was July 1985.

@@robkrasinski6217 In Britain, Madonna was the sound of the summer holidays (which must have also been when I first saw BTTF). By mid-August she had the number one and two on the UK charts (unprecedented for a female solo artist) as Madonna fever meant 'Holiday' had a new lease of life and shot back up the charts. 'Crazy For You' was still in the top 20 as well. 'Into the Groove' was Madonna's first UK number one and it's still her biggest seller. It makes no sense to me that it was only a B-side in the US so they didn't shoot a proper video and just used clips from 'Desperately Seeking Susan' instead. EDIT: I just checked and BTTF was rush-released in July in USA to capitalize on summer ticket sales, but was saved till December (Christmas holidays) in Britain. I saw it on a rerun the next summer though.

If it’s an MKS 70, used on most of her tracks around the mid 80s including open your heart. It’s easy to confuse it with a DX7 because synths around the mid-80s had a digital analog hybrid sound
