Great progress mate. Love Muttley! I reckon every aircraft needs some form of nose art….or just art somewhere. It literally brings the aircraft alive with its own character

Thank you very much for you kind comment, I agree, it is just a small touch but it put the personality on the plane. Lets hope it is not demarnding a medal evey flight 🙂

Lovely detailing from struts to mutts. Cheeky grin motif. Most suitable indeed. Nice work Buddy.

I thought you would like it Pete, sorry for not telling you when we talked.

I couldn't help thinking that my late Great Uncle Brin would have enjoyed watching your videos. That painting of Mutely is not bad at all.

I do wonder what my GrandFather would have made of my videos, I would hope he would have enjoyed them as well. Thank you for the complement, I was my first time using the new style model paints and I am not sure I like them as much as the old Humbrol ones.

Dear Mr D. Dastardly, I think it’s lovely that you have painted a likeness of your trusty hound on your aircraft’s panels. So much better, in my opinion, than the usual scantily clad wife depictions found on many American aircraft!
@flyingkubАй бұрын
Why thank you Sir for you kind words, I think I might fit the pigeon catcher in the next video :-) Last time I tried to paint a scantily clad lady I made a right boob of it (don't know what happened to the left one).

Always very impressed with your workmanship but now we can add your artistic side. Good colour for Muttley and even better that’s it’s your dogs colour! 😊

Thank you. When doing nose art it has to have that personal touch, I am sure my dog would love it if he understood (which of course he does :-)

I love your art work and am pleased to see you haven't cut an ear off 🤣 Regards Michael

My biplane had only one bungee on each strut.... and I found the other 2 (new) in a bag, making my first couple landings quite bouncy, lol. I swapped those struts out for the spring style and gators. Great work!!

Love the artwork Algy! Interested to know what major jobs are left to do to complete the aircraft. Or is the list too frightening to contemplate!
@flyingkubАй бұрын
@@nickbarsby3378 thank for the compliment on the art. The list is not too bad but I need the weather and time. Top wings to fit and rig and intreplane struts are the biggest before I finish covering, engine fit, radio fit and numerous small jobs. So overall not bad just need 3 or 4 dry days in a row when I'm not working or flying to sort the rigging and struts.
@nickbarsby3378Ай бұрын
@@flyingkub That's not so bad at all. Maiden flight next Spring then!

I can hope for late spring early summer, if I can find the cash :-)

@@flyingkub Please don't feel obliged to reply if this question is too prying but, as someone about to embark on a build of my own, what is there left to do that requires much further expenditure? From the outside in and having followed the build from the beginning, it looks as if most of the structure is complete and the spending has been done.
@flyingkubАй бұрын
@nickbarsby3378 the remaining large ish expenses are wing and tail covering plus radio. It is mainly rigging and as my workshop is small I need the weather to do it outside.
