Interesting to know the cardboard was partially successful. I am still of the old school of digging out the weeds and turning over the soil before adding the compost. Done in the autumn, the winter months help to break up the soil ready to plant in the spring. Also not putting weeds back in the compost helps to stop them re germinating. Growing potatoes will help to break up the soil for the following year to plant different veggies. Hope I’m not preaching to the converted 🫣 gardening can be such hard work. Good luck with it all. 😊😊😊

Oh my! I don't know much about structural things, however those don't look right! Happy you've gotten the open barn safe to work and use! You've got very good knowledgeable friends to help! And just like that you've got a raised bed! Great way to reuse what's around the chateau! It sure is looking more spring like with the flowers and plants coming to life! Oh my how I miss hanging out a wash and that clean smell of fresh sheets on the bed. When I moved to Maryland from Northern Vermont that ended seems the dryer appliances took over. You are told not to have any outside clothesline in Suburbs of Maryland. And several others States. Only in rural areas shame.

How I wish I could buy acros for you. It is good that you can address those before there is more to fix. Those kitties are adorable. The one you said had a lovely demeanor stole my heart. Thanks for the little tour of Rob and Susie's. What a lovely home they have. The grange was very interesting. Rols, you're right. That gate had it and needed to go. Maybe someone will pick it up and make art with it and sell it for a small fortune? No likely, but if it was my luck, it would be likely LOL! The garden is looking so nice. I think this year will be a prettier year on the gardens. It is just the summer heat waves that cause havic. Rols, the opening of this v8deo had so many beautiful pics. A lot of them can be framed or printed and your subscribers may be interested in buying them. I loved how the chateau pic became fairytale looking. So many ideas.
