Das Schmiedeteil mit den vier Rundungen ist ein Feldambos oder Wiesenambos. Mit der Spitze in den Boden geseckt sinkt er maximal bis zu den vier Rundungen ein. Er wird benutzt um Sensen mit dem Hammer zu glätten ( auf Deutsch "Dengeln" ) bevor man sie mit dem Schleifstein schärft. Sensen benutzt man um Wiesen oder Kornfelder per Hand zu mähen. Wow!! I’m so happy to see all that floor tile! I hope you can use it in a main entrance. It seems that you have a complete tile floor for a small room, perhaps a bathroom. But if your ❤s are set on the fireplace, consider using what’s leftover after the hearth to go up the sides of the fire place. That would be grand!!

Any rotting wood can be used in your raised beds for Hugelkultur. Placed at the bottom under the soil in the raised beds, the rotting wood increases fertility and moisture retention.

What a nice find. May I suggest working out how many tiles you have and if you have enough to tile a floor even if it's small before you do the fireplace. They will look good on the fireplace but to see them back on a floor. You might even have enough to do both if it's a small room like a toilet. Fingers crossed you might find more tiles hidden one day

I have hard soil as well, I use a metal rod and hammer it to the depth I want to place garden art and lighting. It permeates it great so not to break the lights especially. Lovely to catch another video...God Bless

I think that metal point with the 4 loops was a decorative point to be put on top of a fence, gate, or possibly on top of a house.

Beautiful tiles, and your thoughts about installing them in and around the tower fireplace make sense to me. The wrought iron spike could be from an iron gate or fence. It looks very old, as if it had been dug up after some years. Exiting to find all this!
