Thanks for the quick shop tour. I eye-balled all your tools on the last video so great to have a walk and thought through. Noticed the series press before. Add a valve so you can make using one easier. Not have to add press blocks under. Love the space concepts. Please do a vid on each tool. I have questions for the sheet metal ones hehe. Copy the door card is my vote. Do the Tig second. Thanks for making this video. Regards Paul

No Problem Paul, thanks for watching! It did start off with a valved manifold being used as a junction for both cylinders, but whatever I did, I couldn’t stop it leaking at the higher pressures! (Check the big oil stain around the base) It was meant to be rated for 700 bar, but barely reached 200 some days 😆 I may well look into that again in the future 👍 My pleasure, thanks for the vote 🤝

I think this is going to be a channel of great interest to lots of folk who have to work out of a small shed or garage. Nice arrangement you’ve done there. I’ve subbed because of the relevance to my (hobby) working situation, and would like to see both the TIG-welder stand details and the work-bench / welding table details, but I’m sure you’ll get to all of it eventually! Thanks for taking the time and trouble to show us all this. Les

Love these well laid out shops. I have a similar setup that I should do a video on some day. The welder you have seems to be the Everlast line of welders we have here in Canada and the US. I had both the Tig and mig. Both excellent machines. Would like your perspective on it.

Very clever setup for the roller. I will squirrel that idea away for future use. I have a 14'x20' (4.26m x 6.1m) room in my 30x40 (9.14m x 12.19m) building dedicated to my metal work. I have my weld table on wheels to roll it around. I prefer to put it into the middle of the room when working a larger project. Being a room within a building, I put my larger seldom used tools, like the press, on wheels and store them along the far wall of the general workshop area.

Mate, I am absolutely LOVING these videos. You had me at welding and you kept me with Stargate and Simpsons references. Instant subscription and I've devoured all your videos so far. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. My only tiny (constructive!) criticism is the audio is a little low when you're talking in front of the camera; I can turn subs on and it's a non issue, but just wanted to give you the heads up. Can't wait for the next video, and cheers from Australia!

Fantastic - genuinely inspirational sir - I so need to re organise our single garage workshop so that I can get some fab space and you have some amazing ideas there. loved the peak of the Pagent Blue 1275GT :) just like our Bernie the 1275GT - so this and that? TIG welder please - we have a R Tech Mig welder and love it and my mate has given me an old school analog TIG welder and the many knobs baffle me so yes a chat about TIG would be amazing - love the content so I have given you a thumbs up and subscribed

Awesome! Feel free to ask any questions you may have on the setup chap 🙂
@langdons284811 ай бұрын
@@FanFabWeldWiz thank you - I will do! Something that did occur to me, you don't have a folder/pan break in your shop. Do you not really have a need, or can you get the same results with your press and English wheel (having seen you put folds in the bomber seat back with the wheel got me wondering)?
@FanFabWeldWiz11 ай бұрын
@@langdons2848 good spot! I have a couple of smaller sheet metal folders (only cheap things) that I use from time to time, but they max out at 2mm in aluminium (3mm if it’s a small part, but it’s a push!) and have a maximum width of 600mm. There is quite a lot of folding in some of the parts that I produce (mainly in 3mm Al), so I generally outsource it to the laser cutters. They have a couple of extremely nice 5 axis cnc press brakes and charge very little for folding, so makes sense for everything to come in ready and done. But, I do want to have that option in the shop, so I may well be updating that issue pretty soon 👍🙂
@langdons284811 ай бұрын
@@FanFabWeldWiz that makes a lot of sense. I arrived at a similar conclusion myself in planning my workshop. I'd love to have a CNC plasma cutter and a nice press break, but realistically I'm better off subbing the cutting and folding to a local shop who do all of that *really* well. I may however have my eye on 600mm magna bend...

Really glad I've found your channel, given me alot of ideas for my own single garage machine shop. Is your hydraulic press home made? I'm looking at picking one up but not sure what to get
@FanFabWeldWiz10 ай бұрын
Awesome! Glad to of been some inspiration! It’s not exactly home made, but I have changed some of the frame work to accommodate the twin rams. The only piece of advice you really need is get as much tonnage as you can! It’s the only real difference between them, unless you’re looking at much larger, air fed/dual acting systems 👍
@d7pyro86110 ай бұрын
@FanFabWeldWiz mega! Thanks for reply and look forward to seeing more content! I've been looking at getting a minimum of 20t, but was curious with your duel rams. I bought something like a 5t one a few years back, but only worth it's weight in scrap, lesson learnt aha
