Would it be Overlanding without some adversity? I dont think so. Todays episode begins back at the Fish River Canyon to soak in the sunrise scenery! We couldnt miss seeing it just one more time, before we head over to the Canyon Roadhouse for a quirky lunch stop! We didnt have a very long drive ahead of us, and the dirt road quickly turned to tar. The B4 Highway traverses some incredibly scenery, and Namibia really takes the cake when it comes to long straight roads! Our Campsite for the next 2 days would Klein Aus Vista's, a lovely little spot roughly 123Km's from Luderitz, so it would be the perfect base camp for the next few days. After an incredible evening watching the milkyway at work and a great nights sleep; we were charged up and ready for a massive day of adventure! Luderitz, and Dias point awaited us; and so much more lay ahead.

Hello. Just around the minute 5:40 of your video, you mentioned how important is to absorbe the scenery and the beauty of the nature, and it is so true! Yesterday I did it here on the Baja California Mexicali Mexico desert with my Bonbraai set! Which I really thank you because the first time I saw that set was in one of your videos. Long time ago. So thanks amigo! I’m proud to say that this Bonbraai set is the only one existing in Mexico!! Saludos. Cheers!

Great video once more, quick question, why do you think your compressor's fuse blew?
@RoamOverlanding
@RoamOverlanding 2 жыл бұрын
thanks Charles! So it happens when I havent let the car start up properly before witching the compressor on... I probably done even need to fuse it because it was its own circuit breaker built in; but I fuse it for the safety because the wire is run from the front battery all the way to the back

We did pretty much exactly the same route as you did so far in 2013. Me in my Jimny! Question: Was the road still so terribly corrugated to the Diaz point? Felt like my Jimny was going to fall apart! As far as I know, that is a replica cross at the Diaz point. The original was removed by the Germans and is currently in a museum in Germany. Good trip so far!
@RoamOverlanding
@RoamOverlanding 2 жыл бұрын
Thats so cool! Haha! The road to Diaz point wasnt memorable as a bad one, but the vehicles may have just soaked it up. The road to Sesriem Canyon was the absolute worst!

Just a Note....Do NOT sit with your legs extended under the vehicle while changing a tyre. If that vehicle slips the jack for any reason and lands on your legs...you have a big problem. I say this as a old bush nut and with the unfortunate experience of seeing that happen Twice...in my many years.
