Great riding around Swansea and the Gower peninsula Vic. It is difficult to give up that feeling of riding a motorcycle to parts unknown. Did anybody leave a message in the visitors book at the CWGC you visited?

Sometimes people decide enough is enough for mostly personal reasons. Hase nothing to do with ill feelings towards others. Sometimes its better not to ask why. As you said his hart was not in it during the trip. Thats a sign something is really off. Its never easy to have that feeling you have to let go of a friend. But he bought a other bike. There is a dutch saying. Bloed kruipt waar het niet kan gaan... might translate shitty in english. Roughly said. The itch never goes away. Am glad he keeps riding witch means altho not on long trips anymore you and the rest of the group have not lost a riding friend.

To not ask why would mean I was not a true friend and was using him just because of the bikes. Being a true friend I was concerned why something had changed, a true friend cares.

Its a balance you have to sometimes be carefull with. But in undertstand the point ye coming from. Ye dont drop reall freinds. Sometimes ye got no ifs or buts. And ask not whats up. But are you ok?

Thanks for your comments. My outlook on how I want to live my life has changed over the last two years mainly due to family loss. All I want to do now is move down to Swansea and just live each day without any sort of commitment (as far as possible). I realised over the past couple of months I did miss having a bike but only now and again. If I want to go out on a nice day for an hour I will, if I don't feel like it I won't! I don't want to make plans then feel committed to do it if I don't feel like it when the time comes if that makes sense. The best thing about my time in Motourev is that I've now got many great memories to look back on and brothers/mates for life. Who knows who I may bump into out and about on a nice day........if I feel like going out! 👊

@@victorway5503 I hear what you say. Sometimes one hase to make choises that might not be easy but needed. I just started riding again after years of not being able to deu to health probs. I got the bike i always wanted sins i was kid. When i was about eight or nine(am 61 now) i saw my first dutch style chopper. Loved them ever sins. Took me five years to get a yamaha xs650 the way i wanted it.did not do the build myself tho. Its a hard riding bike. Unforgiving in every way. Ever factory i rode was killing my back and neck.this one odly enough i have no prob health wise during or after riding. It was a choice i had to make sins this is my last ever bike. But than again life is nothing but making choices. Cant wait till next year to make as much km as possible Keep riding safe.
