I understand what you mean, but I get some pleasure knowing that other people are having the time of their life too. Parks are made for people. It would be easier if fewer people were there? Yes. But seeing the happiness in someone's face for finally being in such a special place is priceless.

Totally agree- it's a double edged sword. Love seeing people get out and enjoy nature instead of playing video games all day. However... to what extent? The parks need more funding imo- they are always playing catch up and haven't been able to grow with the increase in demand. I hate to say it but I think the ticketed entry is the way to go in the future with a certain allotment still available for spur of the moment trips.

I would say, start before sunrise, with headlamps on. Then u have a nice Head start. If that is possible. I did that with many attractions, especially mountains.

You're right about that! However, having the kids with us makes it difficult to get up that early and get going in the right direction before day break lol. They're probably still a little too young for Angels landing anyways. It may be a few years before we go back!

thank YOU Marty! We are chasing the good weather- the eternal summer, haha. Currently hiding out in Baja California Sur till the new year. No snow here, just white sandy beaches and sunshine! Stay tuned :)

I've driven through Utah a couple of times, always on my way somewhere with a timeline. I'm hoping to spend some time in the parks soon. It's nice you could spend some time with your folks.

I hope you get to spend some time there! Just time it so you avoid the busy season if possible :) We thoroughly enjoyed having the grandparents tag along. So cool seeing things for the first time through their eyes.

Zion... One Magnificent place! But Crowds keep me away as well.. I was lucky to discover it in 03 before it was crazy crowded... Been 3 times and I must say it is in my top 5 National Parks in US.. Great video!

Wish we could have experienced the park years ago as well! Did you see that starting March 2022 Angels Landing will now require a ticketed entry? Can still get in the park without reservation but to do the hike you will need it.

@@OverlandUncharted I did angel's landing and also did the narrows.. I did a couple of other hikes as well.. All were definitely amazing..

Excited to see the new project. Definitely make sure to come back and do angels landing. It was a great and beautiful hike. Thankfully when I was there years ago it wasn’t as busy as it looks in your video. I still haven’t made it to Jenny Lake but it’s on my list for sure.

Thank you buddy! We are excited to get on with it as well. We saw just the other day that the NPS is now going to a ticketed entry system just for Angels Landing starting March 2022. I hope that will cut down the crowds!! If so- sign us up!! Wish we could have made it up there years ago before this place blew up. Jenny Lake is a must- you have to see it for yourself!

Zion is a beautiful place but I have to agree, Just too crowded for my taste. Glad you got your folks to see it. By the size of that Ram you keep showing, I assume your planning something big. Good luck!!

Thanks for watching buddy...and yes, we may have something pretty BIG "ramming" us into the next chapter ;)

The timed entry passes are garbage. There’s already a natural throttle for entry and it’s called a long line. It is very difficult to acquire some of the timed entry passes and it makes adhoc travel through some of the parks very difficult to impossible. Keep up the nice videos. Enjoy watching your family’s adventures. Btw if you want to do angels landing get a private shuttle into the canyon as early as they run (if they’re still allowing them). Be one of the first ones to start the journey up. That way you can make it out to the end without having any opposing traffic on the chains.

Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately the kids are probably still a little too young to conquer Angel's Landing so unless we have a babysitter available (yeah right!!) we prob won't make it back there anytime soon- but who knows.... speaking of timed entry- at the time of the video we didn't know it but the NPS has now done that for Angel's Landing only starting March 2022. Can still get into Zion without a ticket but for the hike you will need one.

@@OverlandUncharted It’s probably a good idea given the switchbacks and the chains of Angels Crossing! It will help with traffic-like traffic lights during rush hour. 😉 Beautiful park-great memory making for your boys and parents.
