This is quickly becoming one of my favourite podcasts. When you are so religiously obsessed with the team you support and football in general, you forget that each individual footballer has a story to tell which a lot of football fans don't care about. I have been a Hector Bellerin critic for years as an Arsenal fan and this podcast is really changing my perspective of things of how I see football. A year long injury is extremely difficult to come back from and many Arsenal fans are very quick to call Hector out say how 'he's finished' or 'he's lost his ability'. It's utter nonsense. It's so easy for people to abuse, demoralize and call these people out because of bad performances. Their ideology is that it's ok to spout such abuse because they earn thousands which is such a poisonous mindset. It's also damaging for them too. There's much more to a footballer's life than just money and performances. Many people forget how much charity footballers do as well. They 100% give back. Really enjoyed the first 3 episodes Hector, keep it up!

Love this podcast bro. It's shining light on the deeper personalities, curiosities and thoughts that footballers have away from the pitch. At the end of the day, you're human as well, even though all this pressure and all these expectations get thrown onto you because of football fans' passion for their clubs (which I have definitely have done too lol). Keep it up Heccy B 🙌🏿

This concept of the podcast that Hector been produced is great & meaningful. I have been studying psychology for four years. And I’m really interested in sport psychology. One of the core missions of sport psychology is to humanize the athletes. Most people see footballers as performers and forget that they also have feelings just like all of us because in the first place they’re a human being. You could be a footballer, earn huge amounts of money but if something happens in your life that makes you feel down then you can become anxious or depressed, just like another human being. Thanks a lot, Hector for bringing up this issue. It’s not only the job for sport psychologists to encourage, to help athletes perform their best but also the athletes themselves. Just like Tyrone Mings said, “It’s still quite difficult to go to the manager and say I’m struggling. Some players would play really well but from Monday to Friday, they feel really crap.” That’s it, athletes are not a machine, just like Hector said, I totally agree. I hope what you are doing can give people another perspective of an athlete’s life. Specifically in this context, I think it is so important to encourage and enable male footballers to talk openly about their feelings. Keep going, Hector! You are such a decent human being and an inspiration. Respect for you and your effort to make an impact on the world we live in.
