[EP6] Evinrude V6 225 Teardown and Repaint - Haines Signature 530F Restoration

In this episode I score an old Evinrude Ocean Pro 200 (soon to be 225+) along with gauges and controls that supposedly has low compression for $1000. I dissemble the powerhead to investigate further and sandblast/respray the exterior.
This series features the total restoration of a very cheap Haines Signature 530F in need of a lot of work. It aims to educate people on how to perform good quality, but very budget orientated repairs and modifications to all things mechanical.

We do have one outboard motor Evinrude Ocean 225hp for 2 to 3 years due to financial my family have to sell the Evinrude Ocean 225hp with the boat for K30,000.00... from that day till now I missed the Evinrude Ocean 225hp with the boat... Am a fan of Evinrude Ocean 225hp one day i will have my family boat back...

Just curious what was low compression. I just bought a 200 vindicator. Has 85 and 90 all the way round. just curious if to low and need rings

they have compression relief holes in each bore to lower compression when starting

I got a 225 vindicator with compression between 75-100. It starts good and runs 1/2 throttle good. Has slight miss but it has no top end. What way do you think I need to go. Full rebuild or is it a different problem?
