Now THAT is an amazing guest. Tom has brains and skills for daaaays and he's still just as humble as the old days walking around with Matt asking people if they can tell them about Jesus. (stands to clap) Well done TomTom!!!!

I remember that Gambler 500 recovery, that dude was an ass hat. Every little thing they were gonna do he was right over their shoulder like "nah, can't have that" or offering up a dozen reasons why it was a bad idea. Like my dude, this whole car was a bad idea 😂

Tom Tom and I think a lot alike. I ALWAYS use a torque wrench on lug nuts. I even have a nice Snap On torque wrench that I never loan out so I know it's never been abused. Those lug nut studs are a huge safety item. Having a wheel come off at freeway speed can be deadly. Another thing I see people do with lug nut studs is using Anti-Seize. They say they like to use it so they can get the lug nuts off easily. Like Tom Tom said they're stuck on there because they were not torqued on properly in the first place. Also using Anti-Seize completely messes up the torque value, usually over stretching the stud and weakening it. A recipe for disaster.

This is a good series of interviews but have to say this one turned into a Yankum Ropes testimonial commercial there for quite a bit. Nothing against the products, sure looks like great gear. But that time was not spent hearing about Tom Tom, is my point.

Very interesting to hear Tom's background. People who work for our Government today can talk about certain things but have to word it in a way that does not reveal to much past the "Q" clearance they have to abide by. Tom's explanation was awesome. Nuclear Engineer, thanks for explaining what those people do. My Father was a Nuclear Ballistic Engineer and living in a city where Sandia Army Base is located, we as kids even through College (I went to a trade school) were not allowed to talk about the Mountain in the 60's and 70's. Who leaked the information? Oh, since when is it ok for our US Presidents to declassify top secret information that pertains to our Country? My Father couldn't tell us kids what he did in his job other than Gotta go to Hawaii or Tonopah, Nuclear testing in the South Pacific is where he went, and I also learned that Tonopah is Area 51. My turn to let out a secret: Why was it named area 51? You got 10 seconds to answer this question. 5 ounces of Gold per 1 ton of rock. If our government Will cash in their gold today it would surely pay off the Deficit.
