" I need some coaching on these computer systems" ...... Well, for sure ya need diagrams.....either parts or wiring.....because cars are just rolling computers where various sensors tell the "brains" [ECM] to switch active parts ON or OFF. It's all this fancy stuff we're payin' for when ya buy a new car. Take for instance the windshield wipers. Ol' skool was having a 3 position switch [off-slow-fast] connected directly to the wiper motor. New sh1t has a clickable rheostat that feeds the ECM which sends 12v to the wiper motor in various duty cycles....so ya might have 5 different speeds to set & the ECM sends the 12v to the motor in increments of time [duty cycle]....basically a square wave that changes "length" as view on a scan tool oscilloscope....which a good one can run ya $400 up to $2000. Hey !!! .all these "improvements" are somebody's cash cow....don't ya know

Return check valve was non existent or stuck open though so that tank would overfill when using the other tank. New pump hanger under warranty, pulled the bed that time as it's easier than pulling a full tank. Same thing. Luckily I left the bed off. Returned second Chinese hanger and bought a $400 OEM one. No issues. My guess is the Chinese one was reverse engineered from a Bronco one (single tank) so it didn't have a check valve.

Ford parts depots are available throughout the US, so I look for the closest (Some are just online Dealer Parts Departments though), unless you need parts immediately these parts depots are good. If the issue is on the vent side, I am not sure why the owner thought changing the purge valve would help. Doesn’t the purge valve only apply vacuum to the canister and thus the tank?

Bought some coils from Amazon for the car ended up going to pull apart and pulled some oem parts to replace the new ones

I would much rather use OEM boneyard parts rather than Amazon "new" parts.

Why would anyone buy car parts on Amazon?

Lesson learned

Learned the hard way also, had a Pontiac vibe, 2004, needed a air idle up valve...purchased the AC Delco version, about 1/2 the price of Toyota... because as you know, Toyota/GM platform... code still tripped ...ended up having to purchase the Toyota valve, cycled the ignition twice, started the vehicle...boom took care of the issue..in a nutshell the GM version was not built to Toyotas specifications enough to work... Go figure...😊

local parts retailers sell the same garbage they sell on Amazon and Ebay, I often have to hit the forums to find the places that sell parts that were made by the same companies that made the OEM parts for my old Jeep and these places often have an Ebay store. Obviously a $15 oxygen sensor is gonna be a wast of time, but I have had more problems with parts purchased from local retailers than online.
