Hey brutha the water is STILL red as hell up here. I think I figured out why! They are doing some construction in avila bay, the whole bay turned rust orange 🤮 hopefully they finish that up soon. I’m not fishing much lately due to it. But maybe I’ll hit the pier and try for a shark soon. Do you ever do any shark fishing?

@@VINCEGOESFISHING I'm fishing the Battlestar 115 in the surf primarily, also in lagoons and even Mission Bay. So far, I've caught my PB halibut (out of the surf), my PB YFC, a bunch of legal sand bass and a handful of calicos! It's by far my favorite jerk bait for salt water!

Caught one of those huge smelt for the first time yesterday off sandcrabs. Had no idea they got this big, are they good cut bait for bigger fish/leopards?

Yeah bud I hear the cut smelt is good shark bait. Man I have caught a lot of this big jack smelt on the Battlestar 115 - I like to joke and say they are the most precious catch in the surf. 🤣 makes me feel better about catching them I guess haha

@@VINCEGOESFISHING yes, I’m in Palm Coast, which is on the East Coast between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach. We catch a lot of pompano, bluefish, Spanish mackerel and seatrout here along with whiting, of course. I usually fish set rigs, but have been trying to catch fish by casting lures without too much luck yet. I’ve caught a few flounder and seatrout that way, but you guys make it look so easy and fun! @@VINCEGOESFISHING as for baits I salt my own leftover shrimp and use that with Fishbites (one of my sponsors) and glass beads from The Sinker Guy. For lures I’ve tried spoons and slam shady paddletails on weighted hooks to get some depth, but we get crazy waves and wind here so it almost has to be an ounce to ounce and a half lure to get much distance. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll keep trying!

@@Fishin-Girl oh don’t be fooled, sometimes tubers only show the catches which is what makes it look easy. Lord knows I do a lot more fishing than catching 😂 Someday we land right on em, and other day we wonder where the hell they all are 🤣 that’s cool that you’re getting into lures, I hope you have more and more success at that. I really enjoy walking and casting, staying on the move. But now I’m getting geared up to do more bait n wait fishing, it can be productive for rock fish.
