One thing I really like about older trucks are toggle switches that you can put extenders on. Rocker switches just don't cut it.

I made many trips into Canada, and I loved it. People were super nice, including the guys at the scale where I was inspected once. They actually invited me in for coffee. I never had any qualms about crossing the border. Canadian Customs was a piece of cake. US Customs, not so much. But that's a whole different story unto itself. Stay safe. My best to you, your family and those crazy critters.

I think you're an awesome person and driver Kurt! I used to haul Sulfuric acid in pneumatic trailers down to places in Washington, Idaho and Portland. I think it had something to do with gun powder and I'm happy to report that I had no troubles with the people down there at all. Sadly in this world we all share, there are a few people like that "Most" driver, he's unhooked and his truck is running and he seems happy just to watch you struggle and drives away before you can get parked and go have a chat with him. So, an a-hole and a coward. Oh and good job there driver! Cheers from Canada.

Some drivers like to be humps on purpose, even in big trucks. I drove a W900 day cab pulling an end dump. Had to open the door on occasion when backing in tight places. But it sure rode good with the long wheelbase.
