Ep7: Dusty Near Death Experiences - Ultimate North VIETNAM MOTORCYCLE ADVENTURE

In this series I travel Northern Vietnam by motorbike on a Honda XR150 over 14 days from Hanoi to the far East in Ban Gioc , via the Ha Giang Loop and to the Far West in Son La Vietnam. This is the ultimate motorcycle trip in North Vietnam and for the true motorcycle adventurer. In this episode we make our way towards a secret cave in the mountain of Son La. This is all about. exploring the most epic places in North Vietnam by motorcycle.
I ride my motorcycle from Hanoi up to Ba Be Lake and explore the far East at Ban Gioc Waterfall, to west of Son La (just before Sapa) passing through the busy Ha Giang Loop.
From the Ha Giang Loop I hop over to Son La to explore a crazy drive through cave, before continuing down to Ta Xau and the epic Dinosaur backbone ridge with some crazy and amazing adventures on the way.
This series is for the true motorcycle adventurer, those that want to pack a bag, jump on a motorbike and hit the open road and escape the western tourist trap. Here's all the places I visited on my 14 Days exploring the extreme north of Vietnam and why I quickly learnt to avoid the Ha Giang Loop!

Hi @motocurmudgeon. Many thanks for the kind words of support. To be honest the planning was all very last minute. The journey we actually made up as we went along. We put a few high;ights in the map, but the rest of it was blagged as we went. I quite like the seat of your pants style travel, as it leaves a lot open to be flexible about. It was a fantastic experience and one of many I hope to do. Another couple of episodes in this series coming up so stay tuned 👍

No we didnt fall once! But your right there are so many twists and turns and cliff edges and dirt roads, I was fully expecting to fall off at least a few times. We were lucky! Beautiful Beautiful place :)
