Yep,...this IS the state of Disney today. No money to maintain parks but don't worry,...there are BILLIONS of dollars ready to go for imaginary new future attractions. It makes total sense!

It's surprising how the ground lighting can be so poor in EPCOT while being so well done in Animal Kingdom (Pandora).

Whoever worked on these lights need to be fired or moved to a different department.

i was there for opening night. it was a very cool effect. the in-ground lights, the pillars, your magicband+, and the beacons of magic on spaceship earth were all in sync. the whole area was really nifty, especially walking through there, and into moana.

Unfortunate, but it's what Disney is today. The once great company is a shell of what it once was. Things like Tiana's Bayou Adventure, the entirety of the Epcot center overhaul (with the exception of the removal of the legacy stones and putting the fountain back) which was lacking in every way possible, also the issues with Moana in Epcot center. These things were not planned out well, and not received well. I won't be attending WDW in any capacity in the near future. Mainly because I've been going from when it opened in the 70s up to around 2008. It was then I realized that the company had fundamentally changed. Then I discovered universal Orlando resort and haven't looked back. With all the announcements that were made at d23 just goes to show that they're reacting to universal and they just threw some things together and put them in a presentation without fully thinking about the repercussions of what they said. So here we are. Their attendance is down and with universal about to open the most anticipated park in history, Disney finds themselves in the position of being second rate and with no indication of them changing their ways, it's not looking good for their future.

I just rode on Tiana's Bayou in Disneyland yesterday and I was happy with it. The story didn't really make sense (at least, if you haven't seen the movie it didn't make sense) but the vibe, music, pacing, and lighting were wonderful. Maybe the one in MK has some problems but I feel like the one in Disneyland is a vast improvement.

As of last night 11/6/24, it's not fixed when I was there. It looks like it's permanently covered from what I saw...to the point to where I don't think light could pass through what they have laid down. Maybe its just temporary...lets hope because it was really cool when it was working. I think it was MickeyViews that also stated that lighting system was improperly installed as WDI didn't follow the manufacturers recommended procedures for installing the system. So it was a combination of the water being sprayed on it but more importantly the improper installation. Water shouldn't have damaged that feature. Otherwise, anytime it rained really hard say during the summer thunderstorms it would be damaged as well eventually. I think it's just another example of Disney thinking well it's "good enough" and people are still coming so apparently nobody cares and while that may be true for some, to others it's just yet another thing they add to their list of things Disney is doing lately which is frustrating guests.

such a disappointment considering how long wallcot was the new Epcot. They should have left the old lighting in the ground- they were really interesting. And we waited all this time for what???

And their executives continue to lie with a straight have that Universal Epic Universe is just playing catch-up up. They are a joke. I still enjoy Disney but it's such a crazy way to visit now with up charges and reservations and not being able to go with a group because there are different rules when staying on property versus going for the day. It takes so much planning now. Universal Epic is going to really cut in to their numbers.

The current state of Disney is extremely disappointing. The problem lies at the very top with decisions to go cheap and cut the budget on projects and then charge an insane premium cost for their product.
