Disney World would be smart to open a "Nostalgia Land" area with all original attractions like Mr. Toads Wild Ride, Muppets 3D, Space Mountain etc. and theme it all retro. People would love that and it would allow them to add attractions that become outdated without throwing them away or having them take up space in some back area.

what are you blaming the Imagineers for - they're obviously not the ones making these decisions and Rock n Rollercoaster needs a retheme (Aerosmith aren't good people, look into it) - they'll probably do an excellent job. And now since they said they are looking into preserving the experience. Honestly, this sounds like a really fun idea. Reskinning Rockin’ Roller Coaster to “The Muppets”, could help make the classic characters relevant for younger generations. Not to mention, the Aerosmith license is expiring quite soon. While, the “Monsters Inc.” suspended coaster does not need a large footprint. The layout, while custom, is not dissimilar to the Phoenix suspended coaster on Coney Island.

Latest I've heard is that they're working on a Wakanda pavilion to replace the abandoned Wonders of life. Another IP that is not desired in Epcot center. Oh well, I guess I'll just burn my annual pass and just go down the street and enjoy all the much better things there while spending less and not being tied to my phone all day. All while not having to make a reservation. Did I just convince anyone?

I’m mixed on this. While I’m heartbroken to see them get rid of Muppet Vision 3D and the land which was Jim Henson’s last project that he worked on 😭💔 At least they aren’t getting rid of the Muppets completely. I’m actually kinda excited to see Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster get rethemed to the Muppets and Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem. I really do think it could work. However it’s still devastating. What they should’ve done instead is keep Muppets land and Muppet Vision 3D, and instead put Monsters Inc land and the roller coaster over in animation courtyard. Nobody goes over to that space. It’s an empty space that’s dead and not utilized. Then retheme Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster to be Muppets as well. That way we have more appreciation for the Muppets. The Muppets don’t get the love they deserve and it’s sad. Disney has been mismanaging The Muppets and it’s heartbreaking because I absolutely love The Muppets 😭💔

It's not really a good compromise. Now I'm losing two iterations of attractions I really enjoy. Tiana's was fine, but they removed all drama and excitement that splash mountain had, which I worry is what the Muppets would do with rock n Rollercoaster to a lesser extent. Muppetvision itself is a really good way to get out of the heat and sit down for 30 minutes, on top of just generally being a really fun experience.

The coaster looks like it is being built on part of a current parking lot. My guess would be that they leave Muppet Courtyard open until they have the coaster building almost complete. Then they shut down the rest of the area and do the major retheme as the last phase. They are doing the same kind of thing in Dino Land USA. I'm also wondering if they could eventually connect the Star Tours simulators to the Monster's Inc area? It sits right behind Pizza Rizzo. Now that Smuggler's Run exists, Star Tours is not needed and is out of place. Put Mike, Sully, and Boo in the driver's seat. I also hope that they put Muppet Vision 3D in the recently closed Cars Theater and dedicate that entire area to Muppets. And Please - relocate the Miss Piggy fountain back there.

I get that there are niche groups of fans for pretty much everything Disney has ever built. But progress has been what mankind has done since… well… since mankind. Sometimes the new must replace the old. I’m far more concerned with Disney’s lack of cleanliness, maintenance, imagineering, innovation, etc.. We are going to lose old stuff for new stuff. I like the muppet coaster but I will miss Aerosmith theme. However, I still don’t understand the thought process of destroying old stuff to replace it with something new instead of just… building something new. Would it not be in their best interest to expand capacity? More rides = more capacity = more spending. I don’t understand this thing they do replacing rides. It doesn’t make much sense at all.

This is sad...that area needed some love but I really enjoy the show and go every time we go to HS. Launch bay seems to be a dead area too. It all feels a little disjointed...should Monster Laugh Floor then go into Muppets theatre opening that space up to something new? Tommorrowland could use a little for sure!

I love Rockin Roller Coaster and the Muppets. I don’t think the two go together. RNR is pretty intense and the Muppets may draw young kids that don’t know what they’re in for IMO. I think they should have moved the muppets to another theater and just played Rock Music with rotating songs like Guardians

I think its a decent compromise. They should gradually expand out a mini muppets land from that corner of the park eventually as well. I think there is some cool walk through ideas they could do with muppets. I remember seeing some sets for Emmet Otter at the Atlanta puppet museum and it was really fun.

Putting muppets in RnR is okay but it doesn't really help families. Little kids aren't riding that coaster and the muppets was a good place to bring them out of the heat. I wish they would scrap the villains show it doesn't fit hollywood studios anyway. Wdw news suggested putting muppet vision 3d in the cars theater and making that a muppets area and I think that would be a good idea. I mean the current plan where they got rid of cars and put in villains does not thematically make sense. Villains and muppets is a weird combo. They could move muppet vision 3d over to that theater and begin work sooner on monsters. They could take monsters inc laugh floor from mk and put it in the muppets theater. Then the villains show could be placed in magic Kingdom maybe in the new villains land whenever that opens.

Personally I think Monsters Inc Laugh Floor is out of place in Tomorrowland so moving that show there would make sense. When it comes to Muppets taking over RnR, I think the audience for muppets today is adults who liked it growing up so it could end up working well on that end but they could move Muppet Vision 3D into the theater there whenever the Villans show is done there

Here in Southern California we have been waiting for that avengers e ticket ride for like 6 years now, and by the time it opens (after being cancelled and drastically changed from what was originally promised) it’ll have been nearly 10 years since it’s original announcement back in 2019. Web slingers and avengers campus were cheap and lazy. So as a huge marvel fan I was disappointed going opening week (after Disney was hyping it up), and realizing it was something I’d see at a six flags park not Disney. After they constantly over promise and under deliver, and budget cut nearly everything, I lost most of my excitement and confidence in Disneys ability to do a good job. Hopefully they can return to their former glory but for now it feels very far off

I do agree on the compromise. I would like to see them leave MuppetVision 3-D until RNRC is rethemed. They can still construct the new ride and keep something people can enjoy. C'mon guys,...we need to support Burbank on this. Burbank is doing their best to revamp Disney and cater to today's extremely important modern audience. Yes, that means canceling MANY of the older attractions that were developed for older "legacy" fans back in the day. Burbank needs to update it's parks to represent what younger and more modern audiences want to see. If you consider yourself a "Disney fan", you NEED to get behind and support Burbank's mission here. C'mon folks,...there is a long list of outdated, legacy things like "Splash Mountain", "Rivers of America", "Hall of Presidents", "Carousel of Progress", "American Adventure"...and the list goes on and on. Amazing idea! Love it! I’m a huge Muppets 3D fan, but this is a win all around. Muppets 3D (dated attraction) replaced by a new Monsters Inc show. It's not happening and this is a hoax. Muppet Vision is not closing, and neither is Rock N Roller Coaster. There is no Monsters Inc land coming and all Pixar attractions are closing due to Disney losing Pixar under antitrust.

Muppets 3D is a waste of space for a long time, but I felt the entire space should be reserved for Star Wars original trilogy. The Muppets didn’t last long when it was duplicated in Disney’s California Adventure. I never watched it for the few trips to Hollywood Studios in Orlando. I find it weird that many people love it so much. Disney ruined Muppets actually when they made an awful ABC series.
