I wonder if it is possible to love goodness from day one! My guess is no . . . .you have to first prove yourself with someone else before you are permitted the grasciousness of embracing goodness . . . . I started with wisdom ( alass, a Gracious lass, and gracefull lass to that ! She was / Is my first love!). Build your harem one husband at a time - as the Q'ran states: as many as you want - enough that you can afford them! Wisdom is not cheap - she detests certain behaviours! Goodness . . . costs FORTUNES and RISKS! Nobility calls trouble and problematic! How many Husbands can you afford in your Harem? Praise be to Q'ran, that wisely warns! (Divorces are possible - with reason you can divorce a husband - especially when he asks yo to go Suicidal - Nobility is a problematic husband - . . . . . try not to divorce more than three times: - if you get it wrong three times it really means that its not for you! Always Q'ran that warns - (Praise be the wisdom of Humility that looks at all books seeks all texts, including fantasy and immagination, and bows to truth! Praise be the Glorious wife that wisdom is, and praise be to her servants and court!).

in seeking to purify the church of error, the leaders lost their first love. How easy it is to begin to warn against people who hold ideas we know to be false. We indeed need to speak the truth and contrast it with error, but when we start to isolate people we can begin to lose our love for them. We move from a first love of preaching the gospel to a constant defense against heresy.

Sweet! I love the message! As individuals, as families, and as a church there is definitely a great need to return to our first love, to realize the true reason why we are here, and as Rev. 2:2 says we must separate the lies from the truth and believe and stand for that truth. Being doctrinally sound and standing alone for the absolute truth is hard, it takes courage, it means going against society, it is only possible by faith holding fast to the only source of strength that will take us through to the end: It is a personal connection with Jesus, a knowledge of scripture, and Christ-centered relationships built by Christian fellowship.

Look with eyes and see: Do your eyes see the truth, or are they blinded by your ears? Do you need a new Husband? Ears: that which others say (quite often tied to the concept of wisdom). Eyes: That which is in front of your nose - no matter how many carols or sweet songs are sung! If there is a cliff, there is a cliff . . . . no matter how much they insist on the beautiful beach!

Damn brother your right as a church we individuals tend to do things as a duty forgetting that Christ ministry should be done with compassion and love never getting caught up in routine where the flame and love for spiritual things extinguish what a powerful testimony by Christ I wonder how Paul delivered the letters sent to the seven churches I wonder if it Paul was instructed not to write the author of each letter to protect him and the rest of the brothers in the seven churches! I see a parallel from Ephesus church to modern churches at some point we all are doing good in some areas but are lacking in others I think 🤔 Jesus is telling us not to forget his the head of the church and whatever guidance and counseling we need to get back into God's plan we must follow Christ direction wether we think we are doing right but at the end of the day we must be humble and accept the counseling and guidance of our Lord Christ

I dreamed about the 6 churches being destroyed and saw the 1st church being spared. I deemed it also unworthy. But light shine upon to some of the people's face. As I woke up and google it. I realized that the 1st church perfectly describes me. And my complains and criticism against myself for the past few weeks were the same on the condemnation of the 1st church. I've been to Ephesus and Mother Mary's home and it's my favorite place in the world and I've been to over 30 countries. Thank you for this explanation. I love how you connected it to Revelations. Someone else said it is where John went at the end of his life... is that true? I don't know what happen after he was imprisoned. Was he let out in his old age?

I don't think they lost their love for Jesus clearly evident in verses 2&3 but because of extreme persecution under Domitian, they had lost their love for witnessing to others, especially the ones persecuting them unto death.

Is it only me who grasp the true meaning of 7 letters and get it revealed to me? 7 messengers of 7 churches in Asia Minor also corresponds to 7 Body parts of Christ in which He is the Head. What do you think of the Key verses I used? Are we really in the apocalyptic time that it was only revealed now. 1. In Acts 20 verse 30, they are warned about their own members speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. Are there records of churches springing up after Paul leaves? I'm curious if polygamy is one of those perverse teachings that crept in. I've seen a pattern of God restoring His gospel and then polygamy entering in, which is an abomination. This could be another explanation of their leaving their "first love". Instead of cleaving to their wife and not committing adultery, perhaps they sought to have more wives? Basing the practice, as others have, on what's been written about David, Solomon, Abraham, and Jacob, which should be read as cautionary tales that lead to heartache, sorrow, and pain, not as a way of life to emulate!

Ephesus: The church of Quality and Care born form the respect of rules within Gracefullness and flexibility - For me the first love was wisdom and her fables that gave me dreams that protected my youth - and with such dreams do I explore the world! My first love is wisdom - my second, more rational love, is Goodness Done! Why limit yourself to Jesus? Its so much more than one individual - embrace wisdom itself and her enchanting lessons! (Try under a violet moon by Blackmore Night - Joy and happiness with morals, integrity and pain to pay the gain - thus violet!) Efeso (I prefer the italian word): Learn to respect rules and hard work, so to generate a result of QUALITY, with the pleasure of exploring myth and Lore! (Lore is a non perfect, but enchanting truth, that delivers a valid lesson). Its not all in the bible - why limit yourself to one text and not consider something like "Magic kingdom for Sale / Sold" (of Terry Brooks) and G'home Gnomes and strabo the dragon? Can't God and Revelation be fun pleasure and Joy?
