An EPIC 200 Year Old Carnatic Song - Entharo Mahanubhavulu! Happy Birthday ‪@guitarprasanna5975‬ ! Today is my teacher's birthday and as a special tribute to him, I am playing this legendary song which is considered as one of the gems of Indian Classical Carnatic Music. This is usually a 15 minutes song, but I decided to increase the speed to a more insane level which makes it even more harder than what it already is! The song just builds up more and more, and it is one of the most challenging songs I have ever played. Just remembering the full song due to its sheer length is challenging enough, but this song adds so many variations each time some verses are played that makes it very difficult to remember and play it perfectly. I never get to see myself play the song while practicing, but when I saw this video I was very surprised to see the speed of the slides and I am very happy I was able to still hit the notes perfectly.
The meaning of this song is saluting all the great saints and eminent peple who have lived before us and I felt this is a perfect song for me to play as a salute to my guru. I feel very blessed that I am living among the legends right now and I am even more lucky to have legends guiding me and also having one as my teacher. That's a blessing!

the child clearly is a genius stock. but she is still a work in progress. nothing can check out and show the levels and the limitations in the state of progress as classical music can - as this video demonstrates so clearly. the girl is still struggling to keep the tala, misses some swaras and is not at the same nonchalant ease that you saw in her AGT audition viral clip.... the answer? practice, practice, practice.... and it is a no-brainer that the more she practises in the carnatic music the more and more effortless to mesmerising she will be in the westerns, which is a 'child's play' in comparison (i say it as a matter of fact, with zero snobbery or condescension.) there is no question that she has a tremendous future, if she stays the path and goes the 9 yards. our very best wishes and blessings, for sure. here is an indian kid making it and making all of us proud.

I honestly do not know a thing about this style of music. The background I have heard on a couple occasions but the way you play is quite unique to me. It appears that you know what you are doing. I do see differences in chord play and how you coordinate the picking. I love to listen to music I am unfamiliar with.
