ArTiler put it this way. I am a perfectionist, I restore listed buildings day to day so ceramic/porcelain tiling is not something I practice often. When looking at the top echelon of tiling resources in the UK there is a colossal void. I’m looking at work in videos that I wouldn’t even put my name to as a non-pro. I had to literally apply my own logic and practical knowledge from other areas to achieve the finish I was looking for within the last month on my own project. Integrated lighting, seamless joints and grout lines that meet up on all sides perfectly. The single only video I have seen which demonstrates the perfect and I mean absolute pinnacle of finish I was looking for as a learning tool is yours. I can instantly think of a company that supplies amazing porcelain slabs and tiles in London whose high end clients would scream for your services. Frankly you deserve to be a very wealthy man. Those external mitre joints are phenomenal. And that is the one area where I struggled. Okay I don’t have the high end table cutters so had to resort to using a grinder, however dealing with those large format tiles and expensive slabs is never gonna be easy. I think if you have the time to dedicate to this channel as not only a promotional tool but a resource for amateurs and trade professionals alike, potentially you could monetise it. Trade sponsors would come knocking. The overwhelming difference in terms of the production is the quality. Yours is cinematic, the editing, music overlay and appearance are already highly professional. Way beyond what anyone would normally expect to see. I can only imagine it took a long time to produce. I would love to see more work if you can dedicate the time to producing it you really should. Once it’s uploaded it will also be something you can look back on in even 50 years and show the grandkids.

Definitely think about integrating instagram, Twitter, Facebook, KZbin and Vimeo via your company website so you can reduce the amount of uploading. All posts should carry embedded links back to your webpage. For instance, here I would have to write down the company web address off the video and then go type it in a browser. People are too lazy for that. In the description however all posts should have an embedded link I can press to instantly look at your company page. www.patreon.com All the best, keep on doing your thing, it will no doubt appeal to tradesmen, artists, clients, craftsmen and professional bodies. Hi, I mitre cut all my external tile edges too instead of using tile trims. The problem I have is when mitring porcelain or the harder tiles, my bridge saw blade rears off. I've even used brand new blades and after a few cuts it starts to rear slightly away from the tile. I use the Rubi DW 250N and it's not cheap. I use the porcelain rubi blade too. Does anyone have any advice? I wonder what tile cutter and blade is used in this video and if its worth selling my cutter for this? Thanks for any advice!
@MironLorman5 жыл бұрын
It is impossible to cut hard tiles without blade "run away". Straight 45 degree cut can be only made with 300 millimeters blades and higher. Use two blades, one for straight cut, another 45 degree cut, but it is uncomfortable(. But there is hope, Distar now experimenting with new generation 200, 250 millimeters blades to solve OUR) problem, take a look kzbin.info/www/bejne/bIeWaouwd9JlbM0

Lovely work! We have never purchased a bridge saw before, looking for one that cut very neat and easy to use. Which one would you recommend? Prime 14" Battipav Class Plus 1300S Rubi DX-350-N 1300
@MironLorman5 жыл бұрын
class 1300s is slightly different in this list- I would recommend it for tilers, which sometimes work with stone, rubi and Prime is for those, who work with stone and brick etc. and sometimes work with large format tile. Everything is about diameter of the disk. If you cut 30cm tile, I think, it is more convenient to use 250mm disk, if you cut brick, then 350mm. Briefly: tiling- 1300s (it is way lighter 55 kg), other works- rubi, Prime.
@DC-cb4mv5 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for your kind reply. We mainly cut: 900mm width (12-20mm thickness) marble tiles Less often: * 40mm thick stone kitchen worktops. * 1200mm width (10-20mm thickness) marble / porcelain tiles. We prefer a tiles saw that cut as straight and clean as dewalt d2400. A clean cut is our top priority.... However dewalt does not cut large tiles..... I intended to purchase rubi dx350-n 1300, but I heard many negative feedback about rubi other tile saw doesn't cut straight, not sure if dx350n can give a clean straight cut or not? Or if you recommend other tile saw suitable for large format tiles?
@MironLorman5 жыл бұрын
@@DC-cb4mv for stone and large format tiles I prefer battipav supreme (2 meters long) with new generation of infinite motors. As for straight cut, maybe it is because of mitering, when you do 45 cut, during time blade do not cut straight. The best way- to have machine for miter cuts and machine for straight cuts (but it is expensive).

You know, I am thinking about resurrection of this channel. During a year I will be covering the most interesting topics in tiling (blade running out, mitering, how to make extra clean cut etc) and in the end of the year I will tell everybody my secret, how I do my Solid corners. During this year I will be doing only my videos, not working, if people will help me with donation. What do you think, its worth it?

The edge looks incredible, I'm truly amazed! Would an Epoxy grout work to fill the joint to get a similar look? and can I use a buffing wheel to round out the sharp edge slightly?
@MironLorman5 жыл бұрын
I am afraid you won't get a similar look with epoxy grout. I never use buffing wheel when tile is installed- it can cause damage.

Really nice job! What did you use on the edge? It looks like there's something on the outside of the corner to round it off? @@MironLorman

Beautiful work can you please link or say which cutting disk you are using and what is the compound that you use for the corners ? Also that polishing wheel for the grinder what manufacturer is that where did you get it etc. I am currently looking at purchasing Montolit discs do you have experience with this company? www.montolit.com/en/

Hi, now I am using blades and pads from china. It's funny, but the result is fantastic. The resource is poor, but the price and cut quality is SUPERB. Bladed Profi Diam, pads are noname. I know Monolith company, unfortunately never used their products. We use sigma and raimondi equipment.
