We had so much fun designing this backyard Mini Golf Course and even more fun playing on it! Since we are stuck in quarantine and everything is closed, this was an awesome way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
The course took us about 3 hours to play through and swapping out the obstacles/hole layouts was actually pretty easy. We planned on keeping score and making a real competition out of it, but we were having so much fun we lost track of the score about halfway through.

After all the homemade mini-golf courses that I've seen on KZbin, this by far is the best one. How much money and time did it take to build a full 18 holes and what supplies did you use?

Thanks!! I had bought all the wood at an auction for like 40$ so the only thing i really had to buy was the carpet (which i picked up at lowes for 40-50$). Most of the obstacles were made from stuff repurposed from other videos (and other junk from my garage), so it didnt take a ton of time to build/setup. On the day we filmed this, we started at 11 and ended at 3pm (we took a break halfway through to eat lunch). If i were to start from scratch it would probably be pretty expensive and take a little more time... If you are planning on building something similar, take a look around at what you got and build obstacles around them. For example, the tree stump hole i just tossed some logs on the hole and added some axes to make the shots a little more difficult.

Y’all live in Michigan reminds me of my cousins homes out there all that green space!! Love it. Gonna try to build this in our tiny San Francisco backyard. What was that white plastic 360 degree Hot Wheel tunnel made from?!, fomo
@NothingToDoCrew
@NothingToDoCrew 4 жыл бұрын
Yea, i've lived in 7 different states and michigan is still my favorite. It's nice being able to live in the city and still have a big backyard. For the tunnel i used a jig saw to cut out a strip from a plastic barrel. That was one of the easiest obstacles to make and it's pretty fun. I put that insulation foam on the outsides to keep the ball in the loop
@paraspatani1005
@paraspatani1005 Жыл бұрын
How did you make the loop
@NothingToDoCrew
@NothingToDoCrew Жыл бұрын
I cut a 12" wide strip from a plastic barrel/drum, then screwed it down to the wood. then i glued on some pipe insulators for the edges. If you don't have a drum/barrel you could use the plastic from two home depot buckets.

Thanks for posting such a fun video. I stumbled upon another of your videos. So are all 18 holes made out of the same two platforms? My brain didn't quite wrap around how that worked.

How long does it take to switch over to a different hole set up? I guess you can't really get a long game going if you gotta rebuild between holes. Lol But looks like a ton of fun! See if you can get 9 set up at once. :)
@NothingToDoCrew
@NothingToDoCrew 4 жыл бұрын
it actually doesnt take very long. If you are only changing the obstacles it only takes a minute or two and if you are changing the layout it takes 3-4 mins. i think this whole video was filmed in under 2 hours (including a break for lunch)

I’ve been thinking on making one of these, how much did this typically cost
@NothingToDoCrew
@NothingToDoCrew 4 жыл бұрын
Cost varies depending on if you are going with a raised platform, or if you are just going to put the plywood on the ground. For a basic hole, i would say 80$ (i dont know for sure since i used materials from other projects). I would say 20$x3 for the plywood, 10$ for the grass, 2.50x7 for the 2x4 borders
