I would like to thank everyone who watched and left a comment on this video, whether it be good or not so good. we all have the right to voice our opinions. With that said I would like to say that ALL the fish caught in this video was properly and legally caught and released. Rest assured that the Texas Parks and Wildlife were out there twice this day observing and witnessing these fish being caught as well as a big audience that you can hear in the background with no complaints. (13:19) you can clearly hear me refusing someone to keep the fish without proper tags and at (14:17) you can see one of the guys in the video going above and beyond to help a fish with its release. I do apologize for not have recorded the release process due to the fact the most of the time I stop recording to help in the release and lots of times the release show some plumbers crack that is not very pleasing. as for the fish being laid on the ground that is the safest spot for a fish of this size. if left on the rocks they can easily fall in between the rocks and get stuck. I have personally seen it many times by novice fishermen. they are slimy dogs and do get rocks or sand on them when laid down but this will easily wash away as soon as they are released. With all this said I do hope you like and subscribe and I promise I will try and pull up my pants and recorded more of the fish releases.

I know you did the right thing bro. When you catch as many fish as you guys do, you don't need to keep them. It's just a hobby. Don't get me wrong I know you gotta cook a few sometimes too though!

I’m not sure how to say this …. But here goes. It seemed like really rough treatment of the fish. I couldn’t tell if you were releasing them or not. If not…. I can’t imagine why you would keep trophy sized fish like that. Certainly not ideal table fare. If you were not keeping them, I can’t help be wonder about the survival rate. It seemed they were out of the water a long time, and had a lot of contact with dirt, gravel, pavement, etc…. Along with handling of the gills. To me, fish this size are trophies. Should be caught for the thrilling sport, then very carefully handled, photographed, and released … so that they can continue to grow, reproduce, and be caught by other anglers. Just my opinion I suppose.

Preach! However, unfortunately these people are who they are and probably won’t do better. I respect the hustle, I just can’t grasp how they handle these fish.

If we want fish to eat you can tell from other videos well go for slot reds flounder or trout stringers. These fish were laid on the ground because they were coming by in schools and as you can tell the fish were all hooked at once. These reds have no issues being released and are held by their gill plates not by their inner gills 👌
@dashatony29733 жыл бұрын
Dont see why we should nicely handle them if we are gonna cut em up anyways 🤣

@@tommartinez9212 well duh I obviously can tell it’s not your first rodeo. Nor do I claim to be an expert… apparently opinions aren’t allowed to be opinions anymore. I’m just expressing the thoughts and feelings observed from watching how these beautiful fish were handled, and that was done poorly. You do you. However, don’t post videos and expect everyone to agree with how you handle things. I’m glad y’all have a decent amount of positive following, but don’t expect the contrary to not speak their peace. sadly, this looks like poaching. those bulls are all dead. if you kept all of those big reds, shame on yall. no need to keep the big girls, they are breeders and keep the redfish population healthy. They dont taste good anyway. Release everything out of slot, every time. this is a damn shame.
